Alte Postvilla

Not ready yet. This one was a real disappointment. We pulled up to a building under construction. There was a sign leaning on a wall as the only indication of the hotel. The lobby almost made us turn around and run. We finally got hold of someone after repeated calls to numbers on the walls some that did not work. He showed up then left us to go check on the room. Again the run instinct was high. He returned and led us to the room in a different building tell us that we could park beside the tractor. The room was clean and had a very well stocked kitchen. Th parking lot is gravel so a heavy suitcase digs in and the elevator does not work. The problems. The heat did not work. We called and told him. He came back and let us know it would just take time to heat up as it was very cold. It never did. The bathroom light was automatic and once on would not turn off. Do not book here until they get their act together.

Apartment in excellent condition.

Excellent property, quiet, warm, very well renovated in a convenient location with parking. We can’t wait to return.

Firstly, the photo IS NOT of the Alte Postvilla. We spent 45 minutes, in the cold, pouring rain looking for the hotel that is depicted in this photo. Instead, we found a large, dark and looking abandoned, building with a small wooden sign leaned against it. When we finally found the "entrance " door, we very cautiously entered to find a dark, empty area. There were no lights. No receptionist. No people. It was very spooky and ominous. We contacted our agent in Canada. Using our flashlight, we observed a paper on the small, cluttered desk. It had our names listed. We stated yelling "Hello; anybody here?" several times. Finally, a man came down the dark hall and a motion light finally came on. The man stated that nobody was there, it's an apartment building and that we had to call the number to have someone come. I called 2 numbers which were not in service. I finally Googled the "establishment " and called the number that I found on a booking site. 20 minutes later, a woman arrived. The apartment was clean but very musty smelling. The bedroom window opened onto the entrance. I couldn't sleep because it felt like we had entered the Bates motel. Breakfast included? Sure...a bag with 4 rolls was hung on our door each morning at 7:30 and a package of cheese slices and salami were in the refrigerator. Not even a small soap or shampoo. I would never recommend this place.
