Overall, I would go to Casa Guiva again! The property was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful interior patio and lovely rooftop terrace with great views! The staff was always helpful and very friendly!
The bathroom sink was tiny and the room could use a paint job and new sheets, but the price point made all those things acceptable! :)

WONDERFULL
I VISITED THIS BEAUTIFUL HOTEL/HACIENDA WITH MY FAMILY AND MY EXPERIENCE WAS AMAZING. THE FRIENDLY PEOPLE ARE VERY PLESENT AND WELCOMING. THE HOTEL IS BEAUTIFUL ONLY 5 BLOCKS AWAY FROM EL SOCALO. FEW BLOCKS AWAY FROM FOOD PLACES. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

It's such a wonderful hotel! Very cool old house in the historic district! Beautiful courtyard with a great balcony and rooftop terrace. We had a King Room with Air Conditioner, which was very comfortable and roomy! The place was extremely clean and offered a great traditional breakfast. The location was perfect! We walked everywhere and there were tons of restaurants nearby. Very friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff. I definitely recommend staying here when in Oaxaca!

We liked the location of this hotel, very close to the center. We booked a rooftop room and even though it was way too expensive, we had natural light and the rooftop to ourselves. The other rooms seem to be extremely dark as they were looking over the interior yard. We had breakfast which was included the first day but the eggs and bread were super dry and the coffee was super diluted, so we skipped breakfast the other days and found a place in town instead. The rooftop was amazing, great views of the city, greenery and birds chirping in the morning. The staff was super nice. The furniture was very simple but cute. The shower pressure was not perfect but sufficient.

For the price of the rooms I would expect to have at least air conditioning in all the rooms, but they told me that they just have one room with air conditioning and it costs more. I didn’t get any toiletries or towels. Bathroom smelled like sewer. Rain water leaked through the walls. We did enjoy breakfast.
