La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oakland Airport Coliseum Reviews

I think the CEO should pay a visit and experience some embarrassment viewing this place. The main problem by far is that right in the street in front of the hotel, there is a homeless encampment comprising half a dozen knackered RVs, broken cars, old sofas and such. I don’t see any drunks or ***** but there is noise and huge mess and it is not safe to walk out at night (as advised by the desk staff). That aside, the hotel is quite shabby and run-down. The hall carpet needs replacing, and to be honest, the whole place needs a renovation. Several of the laundry machines were broken. The hot tub of the pool is out of use. The water fountain also out of use. The breakfast is OK for a budget US hotel but it produces an ungodly amount of single-use plastic waste. The pantry has barely anything in it. Due to the local area, if you don’t have a car, the only solution is to call takeaway for lunch and dinner. If you have a car, try another hotel nearby for dinner! There are several options. The room is outdated but comfortable but could be cleaner—it’s dusty and there are crumbs and stuff. Overall one of the most disappointing hotels I ever stayed in and a shame on the Wyndham brand.

I had to change rooms because the locks and keys were not responsive. There is no breakfast!!! Elevator needs to be updated. Maintenance not available after a certain time. Front desk at night are nice and approachable.

The hotel is in a very sketchy area. They don’t allow cars coming in and homeless are camping in the front. Old rooms with a weird smell.

Location is not pleasant! Homeless around the hotel!

Only a handful of staff is polite, friendly, and professional. The rest are rude and dismissive. Pictures posted are absolutely not recent. The pool is filthy, hot tub is drained and gross, back security door is broken, the washing machines and dryers don't work yet no laundry service is provided as it states when booking, elevator smells of urine more often then not, and businesses center they claim to have consists of providing an email to have documents printed if needed. During our stay, a car was stolen from the parking lot (mind you, there's always a security guard at the entrance) as well as a guest room being robbed.

I thought this hotel had a shuttle and it starts at 7 am and my flight left at that time therefore I had to pay for a Uber then the room had a bad smell to it and we were adjacent to another room which connected with ours my sister said she kept hearing knocking on the door but other then that the employees were very helpful

What a nice little hotel! A great location, room was clean and quiet. Super close to the mall and shopping centre :)

The order included breakfast but it was not provided. Prepaid room orders do not allow early departure and refund. The surrounding area seems very unsafe!

I searched for accommodation to go to Auckland, New Zealand. However, I ended up booking a hotel in the US. The English spelling is different, but the Japanese spelling is the same. When I realized it, I couldn't cancel the reservation, and I wasn't refunded. Please be considerate with your search system. Some sites allow cancellations and refunds up until the day of your stay, but with this, I can't just make a reservation. I think they need to be more considerate.
