We had a wonderful stay at the Harvey House. The room was very comfortable, clean and well decorated. The location was perfect and parking was ample. Beth was a perfect host. We will stay again if in the area

We splurged on a nice place to be while celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. We loved that it was conveniently located next to the train which we took downtown to see the Chicago Art Institute. The B&B is also located near lovely restaurants! What I loved most is feeling like I was home while so far away from it. Breakfast was delicious! Beth was very accommodating! My favorite part is the overall vibe of the place. There was so much art! The tub in the Stewart room was very relaxing... ＜3 We would stay here again!!!

Another great stay at the Harvey House. Clean, comfy and inviting. Miss Kitty greeted me each night when I came in to the sound of jazz playing on the Sonos. There is an ample supply of muffins, coffee, fruit, pastries, hearty bread and other breakfast items each morning along with copies of the newspaper. Beth is a wonderful and knowledgeable host who gave me a great recommendation for a nearby restaurant for a family lunch.

Enjoyed my short stay. Wish I could have spent more time here! Quiet, peaceful, safe, and comfortable. I travel frequently for work and this is by far, one of the best experiences I have had. Thank you Beth!

This is our third year staying at the Harvey House, and it is far and away the best lodging experience out of any Airbnb, bed and breakfast, or hotel we've stayed at. Our favorite is the Jimmy Stewart suite, but we've stayed in other rooms as well, and they are lovely. The inn is private, quiet, and even with a full house, you hardly know anyone else is there. Upon checkout, we were surprised to hear that the place was full, because we hadn't heard anyone else most of the time we were there. Beth, the host, really has an eye for interior design, with an aesthetic that is subtle, classic, and timeless. We always go there as a couple when we are visiting friends, but it's also a great place to land if you are traveling by yourself, or on business. It's in Oak Park, which is lovely, and it's a quiet place to retreat to at the end of the day if you are spending time in the city. When we visit, my husband always says the Jimmy Stewart suite is the nicest place we've stayed, and I agree with him. We will definitely be back

Elegance and charm!
Beth is an amazing hostess!
The Harvey House is a one-of-a-kind, lovely experience. Such a nice change from the hotel experience.
Wonderful common areas that are curated with excellence!
If we have a chance to be in that area again we would definitely look for one of the rooms at the Harvey House!

What a lovely little B&B. Comfortable, quiet, and old school design. Host was lovely and offered to put the cat back in her apt since I was allergic (but it wasn't an issue as the B&B was very clean!) The breakfast was wonderful too. Stayed in the garden room on the second floor. Could hear the train as other reviews have said but it was more like white noise than anything else and wasn't a bother. I slept just fine! Will return next time I am in Chicago!

I love this place. The owner is very friendly, professional and most helpful. This location is modern and updated. We were here for our anniversary. Close to home but were transported to this great location. Great food, excellent service. Walking distance tp Oak park restaurants and movie theater.
