The lodge itself is beautiful, with a fantastic view and lovely common areas like the dining room, terrace, bar, and pool. The rooms are also nice, but they feel a bit outdated—especially the bathrooms. In our room, the toilet was not properly mounted to the floor, making it unstable, and the water tank made extremely loud, whistling noises when refilling, which was quite disturbing at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was very good. However, I am deducting two stars: one because of the outdated bathroom (see above), and another due to our experience in the gift shop. We bought 12 stamps for postcards to Europe and paid the correct postage (about 5500 UGX per stamp), but were given stamps worth only 400 UGX each. Unfortunately, we only noticed this much later, when trying to send the postcards at a post office. Overall, a beautiful lodge with great service, but some improvements are needed, especially in the rooms and in guest services like the gift shop.

This historic lodge on the banks of the Nile is a very stately beautiful accommodation. The service was above and beyond. We were so very impressed. The safari was scheduled to be 3 hours, but the team stayed out an extra hour to seek out the elusive big cats, with success.

We finished our trip to Uganda with a wonderful stay at The Paraa Lodge. Rolfe and his team are super friendly, and the accommodations are comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed the pool with the swim-up bar and gorgeous views of the Nile River. The location in the Murchison Falls National Park is perfect. Our game drive started as soon as we left the property. Don't miss the river cruise to see hippos and the base of Murchison Falls.

Really dated old lodge. Bathroom ceiling was leaking, no drinking water served in the restaurant, swimming pool had a bunch of residents who were playing loud music on a speaker, the bar was serving stale red wine from a bottle opened a while ago….don’s stay here there are many other lodges in the area

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits dans cet hôtel. Au début de notre périple ougandais. La vue sur le Nil est magnifique, l’espace piscine extérieur est super! Étant donné que nous avons voyagé hors saison l’hôtel était peu rempli et les repas n’étaient pas sous forme de buffet mais à la carte. Repas simples et bons, à forte connotation indienne. De manière générale l’hôtel est ancien et aurait besoin d’un rajeunissement, mais tout y est en terme de confort et de propreté. En allant dans le parc en safari, attention aux mouches tsé tsé qui sévissent, à cette saison au moins!

We stayed at Paara for three nights. The staff was excellent! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was great, especially their soup! The staff was very attentive and met you in the morning in the lobby with early coffee, for those early morning game drives. I would definitely stay here again

Ce lodge jouit d’ un emplacement extraordinaire au-dessus du Nil Victoria non loin des chutes Murchinson. Le bâtiment est ancien, mais très bien entretenu et le jardin est très agréable. Les chambres sont très confortables. Elles ont un style ancien qui leur donne du cachet. Les repas se font dans le restaurant à l’étage d’où l’on a une très jolie vue sur le Nil. Le buffet est très bon et varié. Le personnel est à l’écoute et attentionné. C’est un endroit très agréable où il fait bon séjourner.

This hotel sat in a lovely location. Beautiful views. Not a modern hotel but it is very comfortable and everywhere is very clean. The staff were extremely helpful. The buffet was very good great selection. The bar was comfortable and service very good. The outside area was lovely with a lovely pool

Great hotel - large spacious rooms. Amazing outside space. Lovely gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. Highly recommended. It was the gateway to an amazing adventure in Ugandas Murchison Falls and the beginning of a great holiday
