We (our family) visited tea and experience factory for the second time ( last year also we visited this place during same period) from 20th December to 22nd December on FB basis. Unfortunately all our 6 meals we had to taken as "set menu" basis and not as "Buffet" we expected. The reason given by the hotel staff was due to the "short of number of guests" Accepting it as it is rather questionable. The access road was rather bumpy and damaged at several locations. I know repairing this is a costly encounter but worth of revisiting this as most of guest are visiting the hotel by cars not by pick ups or double cabs. Apart from above two negative feedbacks the rest is great. Staff were quiet polite and supportive. the trip we had to visit "Kolapothana Ella" was a great one. The Naturalist Lakshan was very supportive and informative so as the driver Ksevan (Like his driving skills) . The places we visited fascinating, room was neat and clean with all the amenities. The "High Tea" provided was always point to be noticed. I never hesitate to recommend this place " Hotel Tea & Experience" to come and stay with your family or partner as this was such a wonderful place. Since we already having the experience of visiting three other Thema Collection Hotels ( Aliya, Kithala, Scottish Bungalow) up to know, We would place the " Tea & Experience" on Top out of the four. One of the best places i've been to. Starting from the location of the hotel and then the whole concept of the hotel itself, a converted tea factory! The staff is really friendly and helpful. All the operations are eco conscious there are many experiences for anyone visiting to take part in. Maybe the buffet spread and ala carte options can improve. But its hardly anything to complain about.

One of the best hotel experiences in Sri Lanka. We stayed 2 nights at this location. The rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location has breathtaking views. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to stay calm and relaxed in a cool climate with the best scenery.

Super schöne Unterkunft, idylillisch gelegen, trotz Dauerregen schöner Aufenthalt. Personal extrem zuvorkommend. Gratis Besichtigung der Tea Factory und Walk zum Wasserfall. Begrüssungsritual. Gutes Essen. Zimmer top! Wir haben uns über die Unterkunft einen Transer organisieren lassen, wurden masslos über den Tisch gezogen. Haben mindestens das vierfache bezahlt!!! Sehr schade.

Staying in the Mandaram Nuwara tea and experience factory was a totally marvelous and magical experience for us. This was an amazing getaway for me and my family. Every aspect of this unique hotel was perfect. Thank you all for the exceptional service. The entire staff was professional yet warm, approachable and extremely welcoming. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. The infinity pool was a stunning feature of the hotel. The view was truly unforgettable. This hotel offers various activities and getting to witness the tea making process was truly eye opening. The location of the hotel was perfect, with it being surrounded by tea plantations and mist. I highly recommend this great hotel to anyone who is looking forward to having a magical stay in this picturesque area. Totally worth your money. Fondest regards, Udari Jayathilaka

Ausserordentliches Preis/Leistungsverhältnis
Sehr schönes Hotel in einer alten Teefabrik. Herausragend war die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Das Essen war herrvorragend und die Zimmer sehr sauber. Wir bekamen eine Führung in der Teefabrik wo uns der Teeprozess erklärt und gezeigt wurde. Auch eine Wanderung wurde angeboten. Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen!! Bei der Hinfahrt ist es besser nach dem Weg zu fragen. Google maps führt woanders hin.
