Nice stay in the family room of the Queenswood hotel. The place is looking a bit tired but the restaurant was good and the room cosy. Pool table was a bonus.

Very nice hotel. Cozy boutique hotel. Perfect service. Everything you ask for is arranged immediately. We got a breakfast box for our walk to Worlds End and that was delicious. The restaurant was also really delicious. Very diverse choice. All in all a topper

The room was very dark and the soft furnishings were very tired and tatty looking. We did not find staff very welcoming on arrival . We ate at the restaurant on site but were the only people in there. Note that no alcohol is served here. Breakfast did not start until 8am which is late for getting out on trips. We needed to leave at 8:30 so turned up promptly at 8 which we had mentioned at dinner the night before and there was no sign of anyone. We got the girl who was on her phone at reception to reluctantly come and find someone . The man who served us tried his best but it was all a bit of a rush.

Boutique hotel, bear in mind it’s 3 * hotel, very quirky and different. Our bathroom was very unusual as well. Very comfortable bed.Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were lovely. Food was good. Our room was funky and fun. Very close to other amenities/restaurants. Definitely recommend for families.

I booked one night in a Deluxe Family Attic with Balcony This was a stopover between Kandy and Ella having caught the train from Kandy. The hotel room was dark with poor lighting and did not feel very clean, the bed linen was poor quality, the balcony was in a poor state and dirty, the bathroom had this strange slate tile affect with a small wall to climb over to access the shower, and a scruffy red mat at the entrance to the bathroom and it had an odour of dampness or similar. We felt the hotel was in a time warp. Breakfast (which didn't start till 8am - which is late when you are heading out sightseeing) was poor - despite several requests for tea and coffee the waiter kept bringing a variety of Sri Lankan dishes when we only wanted some fruit. We would not stay here again.

Small and Cosy Boutique property centrally located and not very far from main attractions at Nuwara Eliya. We stayed at family cottage which had a comfortable double bed and two queen beds at Mezzanine level which our kids liked a lot. Cottage is very pretty all done in wood and bathrooms are decent and we particularly like the shower area which is done in stone giving an antique finish. Check in was not smooth and we had to wait a long as reception staff was busy and our welcome green tea was served a bit late after repeated reminders which was not good. Safe in Room was not functional and it was changed next day but after repeated persuals. Bed covers were dirty and they were changed after request. Heater was available in room and was very useful as it got really cold at night. Limited breakfast buffet but staff is very cooperative and will go an extramile with smile to prepare food for you and they even packed us paranthas when we were going for excursion. There is small souvenir shop which got some good quality jackets but do negotiate a bit before buying. Bit overpriced may be because of peak season. Any ways not a bad choice for couple of nights stay.

Our room had a mezzanine level for the twin beds which my son loved. The whole room and the bathroom were spacious and well-decorated. The staff are welcoming and helpful and a free pool table kept my son entertained.

A hard site to avoid but well worth the effort. This could make a lovely hotel. Staff are very efficient and friendly. A long time since any upgrading was done in the hotel. I unfortunately ate in the restaurant and ordered spaghetti carbonara and a beer, no liquor licence! Spaghetti with tomato sauce came out and I was told it was carbonara, it was cold and I had to send it back to be reheated. Handle was broken on the bedroom door. There has to be better about!
