Lovely boutique hotel. All the required comforts, attentive staff, clean and good location (only a short walk to city centre). Breaky and coffee was good too.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and likewise rooms. If you have booked halfboard suggest to come on time for the buffet as turnover doesn't seem high and the food will be luke warm/a bit stale. They don't serve beer/alcohol for dinner which would have been nice. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. One suggestion though: lose the white gloves. The hotel talks about Old World Charme in this city referred to as Little England. To me however, the gloves, while seemingly innocuous, were a part of the visual language of the empire, signaling dominance of the colonizers and the subservience of the colonized.

Small hotel, fine for a night or two. We spent one night here and had planned a lie in but we were woken up very early by the rattling windows. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was limited but fine. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so can't comment on that.

We stayed 2 nights as part of a Trip a Deal tour. Had a huge ground floor room with lovely comfy window lounges, big tv, king and single beds. Coffee and tea facilities and a fridge which came in handy for our drinks. Nice layout with shower and toilet areas in separate rooms, does take awhile for hot water to come through but plentiful when it does. Staff were very friendly and professional, breakfast and the dinner service were impressive for such a small hotel. Nice gentle walk into town, food court and small supermarket attached to larger hotel one block over. Large Keels supermarket about a 10 minute walk opposite direction from town which was a great find to help us overcome no alcohol available in hotel. Fantastic tour of Horton Plains undertaken, and a not so fantastic tour of Moon Plains occupied our time. Markets and nice dining options in town too.

We stayed for one night and overall our experienced was very good. ITs a small hotel but still had a games room and the bedrooms were indivividual and nicely presented. The food was quite limited due to the size but nevertheless very tasty. I think its the climate in the area but we did find the room a little damp otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
