The property was absolutely stunning, the decoration and everything about it was high class. The room was exceptionally comfortable with much thought going into every little detail. We loved the fact there was an on-site chef and there was a large choice of items on the menu. We ate in both nights and the food really was excellent, and extremely tasty. We would absolutely recommend eating in and this was backed up by the tasty and plentiful breakfast in the morning.

It states 4 star but it is not even 3 star. The only good thing is room size. Bathroom is tiny. No lobby which includes a couple of sofa, no open space. No where to stroll you are just confined to your room. I didn't check ( thought breakfast is included, I am sure that I selected with breakfast option ; my mistake ) while booking but after paying 120 USD what you get is just a place to sleep. Please never book

Getting to this hotel is a slight task - since it sits atop a mountain, the ride up is almost like a roller coaster going up, but once you reach it, it makes all worth it. The property is quaint, but beautiful. If you love Harry Potter/Narnia/Norse mythology, you will love this place. The rooms are large and well-appointed and very clean, but it is the staff who will win you over! I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Прибыли поздно вечером. дорога была не очень хорошей буквально 300 м. Гостиница построена в стиле Средневековья Шикарный Холл. Номер был сьют огромный, с двумя кроватями и джакузи. Завтрак в полне достойный. Но самое завораживающее это вид на горы, ради которого стоит приезжать в этот отель.

Beautiful place with spacious and comfortable rooms. All amenities were provided. Location is great as it is away from the city, the approach road is better navigated with a 4 wheel, but doable with a car - we did it. Nice location , can travel to nearby attractions easily. It gets quite misty all of a sudden and nothing can be seen then! We had good views of the village but the mountain view was spoilt by the other buildings on the side. Great view of Pidurutalagala though. Food was the best, every dish we sampled was excellent. Staff was courteous, kind and helpful and would go that extra mile to make sure the stay was great. Would definitely visit again.

I recently visited Sri Lanka with my family for a short holiday from Australia, and our experience at Fort Windshire made the trip unforgettable. The location offers stunning views, and the hospitality from the staff was exceptional. The rooms were spacious, super clean, and incredibly comfortable with all the amenities needed for a family stay. The food was fantastic—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented with a variety of menu options to suit any dietary needs. The in-room spa was a lovely added touch. Located in a convenient area, allowing us to easily visit key attractions in a short amount of time. Highly recommend Fort Windshire for a memorable stay!

I stayed in this hotel for one night. It is a good and memorable place to pass the vacation. Good managment, staff, rooms and lobby. Room service is very good. This hotel is located in north of Sri Lanka with good view. But heating facilities are not enough in compare with room size. It is only an electrical heater which can only heats 1 CBM and not more. We couldn't sleep at night due to cool weather in the rooms. It is strongly recommended this hotel in summer.

Vielen Dank für die herzliche Begrüßung. Wir haben uns in Ihrem außergewöhnlichen Haus (Burgcharakter) sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist Ihr aufmerksamer Service und vorzügliche Küche (Frühstück und Abendessen). Mit dem TukTuk waren wir schnell im Ortskern.
