I stay at this hotel every time I go to Nuremberg. The breakfast is excellent, the building is very exquisite, and the restaurant service is also very good.

The price of 2200 a night, a small bed, the express hotel in the castle is more cost-effective.

Now I have to add my two cents. I had booked a single room. Checking in was very quick - maybe even too quick. Everything was quick, quick, and then I wasn't even wished a good stay or anything like that. Normally I wouldn't care, but not in a 5-star hotel where you're supposed to feel comfortable. The room was never cleaned before my stay. Dirty toilet seat, dirty mirror, tiles in the "bathroom" absolutely dirty, garbage not completely emptied. To be honest, the bed sheets didn't smell fresh either, just like the room itself. I think a family of bears lived in there before me, I had to get a scented candle to improve the smell. The room was the size of a shoebox. The shower doors can't even be opened properly because there's far too little space in the bathroom. You can also forget about taking a shower because the structure is so old that you don't even get lukewarm water. Either scalding hot or ice cold. The windows aren't airtight either, so I put a towel over the slit so that it doesn't get too draughty overnight. Of course I don't know what the other rooms are like, but for me the stay was like a 2 to MAXIMUM 3 star hotel. Overall I'm very unsatisfied and this night was NEVER worth €440!

Location is opposite the central train station and next to city centre. Hotel has an old vintage flair, if that's your thing. The small room is pretty small but will work for short trips if you don't have a lot of luggage.

we stayed this hotel for one night and and check out the next day due to the internet connection and we were charged 90% of the hotel bill for early checkout. the internet was in an out even if you are in the lobby. the room needs renovations specially the rugs. As a titanium member you can have the options of welcome points or free breakfast. which is not the case with other marriott hotels, it should be automatic points and free breakfast. I will not recommend this hotel to business travelers due to their policy.

We arrived at about ten in the morning, we had been traveling for over eleven hours. We were told upon arrival that our room would not be ready till three in the afternoon. Viking had made all out travel an arrangements. As such they put the hotel staff at a considerable disadvantage. While we begged for some accommodation to rest our weary bodies, we were merely offered complimentary breakfast. It was better than nothing but it did not provide the rest we desperately needed and expected from a Viking coordinated traveler! Shame on Viking for their lack of consideration for weary travelers. The chairman of Viking urges us to be curious travelers…..well I am curious as to why they would think their travel arrangements live up to Vikings previous standards that we have experienced on other travels with them? The hotel did provide a room for our disabled brother in law asap , but my wife and I were without a room for hours. So, the hotel was in a good location and the staff was as helpful as they could be, unfortunately Viking put them at a disadvantage .

The hotel was a delight and exceeded our expectations. We were about to embark upon a river cruise and the tour company had booked our hotel accommodation for the night prior to departure. I had seen a photo of the hotel from an online visit which revealed grand old structure which could easily have been tired and drab on the interior. My first impressions could not have been further from the truth. The hotel was in fact grand and beautifully maintained with old features. Like the original key rack behind reception and wood panelling everywhere. Best of all was the service of all the hotel personnel who were professional helpful and impeccably mannered. Stand out individuals were: Alexandra Pyroml and Chakir Oussamu on reception who were helpful throughout and especially so when I discovered I had lost my wallet when visiting a nearby restaurant. In addition Moritz Belvar, a young waiter at breakfast could not have been more friendly and helpful if he tried. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to enjoy old style hotel life in the centre of truly great coty
