We hebben een fantastische mooie week gehad. Een fijn verblijf gehad bij het Marjatta, Raímo en Eemeli en niet te vergeten alle overige teamleden! We voelden ons zeer welkom. Alles keurig verzorgd (denk aan de complete uitrusting, het gebruik van materialen, de sauna, de buitenruimtes waar we lekker vuurtjes mochten maken) maar een speciale benoeming voor de fantastische lekkere keuken! Traditionele gerechten die ons voortreffelijk hebben gesmaakt. Maar ook de leuke activiteiten, zelfs de sneeuwscootertocht met hevige sneeuwval in het donker vonden we een super toffe ervaring. De ligging aan de rivier is erg mooi, en biedt een gave plek om het Noorderlicht te zien. De wat langere reisafstand van het vliegveld naar de lodge was het echt waard en wij hebben ontzettend genoten en wat ons betreft voor een herhaling vatbaar.

As a well travelled group, we came here looking for a completely new and unique experience, and we can definitely say that this one exceeded far beyond our highest expectation. The team and service was absolutely exceptional. Marjatta and Raimo’s hospitality was so warm and welcoming. We enjoyed all the stories and getting to know the culture and tradition of the region. The food was amazing, especially the local cuisine during Christmas and the Kota traditional dinner. The activities were very well organized and the team conducts themselves with utmost professionalism prioritizing safety. This experience was definitely unforgettable!

One night in Nuorgam
Well you`re not spoiled for choise if you want to overnight in Nuorgam - this is it. Reception closed, No breakfast available. We called in advance of a late arrival and it was agreed key will be on the door. It wasn`t and even if it is just 2 minutes wait to get it one still had to call and remind. Not ideal. The cabin is quite expected. Enough running warm water, cooking possibility, fridge and quite clean. Not a roaring success but quite ok when its the only option. Window to the bathroom with no curtain :)

We rode Jbus from Inari to Nuorgam holday village and the bus stopped right at reception. We stayed two nights in a comfortable self catering apartment and paid for a delicious buffet breakfast. As we didn't have a car we arranged with Raimo to take us us for a day trip into Norway reaching Varanger bay. Thoroughly enjoyable.
