Such a nice experience, especially for an all inclusive resort. It wasn’t overly crowded and there were always spots by the pool and beach. We never had to wait to eat at any of the amazing restaurants. The food and drinks were amazing as was the service, specifically Elian at the pool. I hate going the same place twice, but I’m looking forward to returning with my family soon!

I am giving this hotel a score of four due to our personal experience overall. At the beginning we honestly had a bad experience, but I noticed a drastic change in a positive way throughout the hotel after talking to regional manager, Mr. Alberto Rodriguez. He salvaged our vacation, I thank him for that. The experience after his involvement turned our experience from 0 stars to 5 stars. We stayed at Villa Varadero 25 years ago and our room looked exactly the same today as then. Beds were uncomfortable, patio doors didn't close and had an inch gap at the top which maintenance tried to fix and did improve. Otherwise you heard the waves hitting the shore all night. Food options were very limited. Staff weren't even sure which restaurants would be open at their newer building across the street. One restaurant is Italian and the other Mexican and most nights the main floor one was open with both cuisines available. Pasta was dry and needed more sauce, pizza was soft and soggy. Once the restaurants closed for breakfast it was the snack bar that was open from 12-5. It offered hot dogs, very think patty burgers, soggy French fries, tortilla chips with cheese sauce. There would be some fruit, usually papaya and something else but any attempt to eat healthy was difficult at best. The dinner on the beach was the highlight of the culinary offerings at the resort. I would recommend that and it was included as we stayed more then three nights. We did the bike tour and the bikes have had no maintenance done to them. We were given bikes with flat tires, no functional brakes, seats that couldn't be adjusted and chains that have never been greased. All fixed gears and incredibly tough to peddle. The location is ideal and steps from the ocean. Staff are all friendly as one would expect but outside of that very few positives about this stay.
