I am disputing the hotel’s false claim I am disputing the hotel’s false claims and the unauthorized charge of $212.22 to my account. First, the hotel alleged that I demagnetized my key cards by keeping them near my iPhone. However, this is incorrect. I have stayed at numerous hotels and resorts without ever encountering such an issue. To test their claim, I left my phone inside my room and went about my business, yet when I returned, my key still did not work. I had to make approximately 18 to 20 trips to the front desk to get new key cards. Even the front desk staff admitted that their locks were highly sensitive, which confirms that this issue was on their end, not mine. Second, I raised concerns about the cleanliness of the hotel. The facility had an unpleasant odor that triggered my sinuses, and on the last day of my stay, I found a roach in the bathtub. It is well known that when a room goes uncleaned for three consecutive days—especially from Friday afternoon to Monday afternoon—sanitation issues arise. This would be true whether the hotel was in Novi or Mar-a-Lago. The most significant fabrication, however, is the claim that I occupied an additional room. When I first checked into my assigned room, I immediately noticed multiple issues, including a malfunctioning AC, fridge, and TV. Within five minutes, I called the front desk to report the problems. A staff member came to inspect the room, acknowledged the issues, and apologized. She then reassigned me to another room, assuring me that it was a better option. At no point did she mention any extra charges for the room switch. On my last day, when I checked out, I specifically asked if there were any outstanding charges or if my deposit would be refunded in full. The same staff member confirmed that I owed nothing and thanked me for my stay. However, after I posted an honest review about my experience, the hotel became hostile, responding with unprofessional and harassing messages. I escalated this matter to ******* and the hotel’s corporate office, both of which expressed concern but stated that further action would require legal involvement. I am not seeking additional compensation or damages—I am simply demanding the immediate refund of the $212.22 that was wrongly taken from me. The hotel only fabricated this charge after I left my review, which raises serious concerns about their integrity. I have also discovered that I am not the only guest who has experienced unauthorized charges from this hotel. Their management’s pattern of dishonesty and unprofessionalism in handling complaints is unacceptable. Regardless of whether they refund my money, I will not alter my honest review to accommodate their misconduct. However, I do expect a full reimbursement of the amount they wrongfully charged me. We visited family and chose this location. We saw the friendly quiet clean reviews so we decided to come here. We were excited to use the hot tub and relax at the pool. It was nice. And the pool was heated so we didn't freeze our butts off lol We know where to stay next time we come back! Great rooms, we could cook and full size fridge with dishes and cookware and a grocery store and restaurants right across the street. It was perfect and convenient.
