The place is very nice , if a bit run down in parts, but the meal in the evening was very disappointing.My lamb shank was so tough I sent it back My partner continued to eat his but it was not very good.When my meal eventually arrived back, with very tender lamb shank ,my partner had finished his meal.It had taken them quite a while to replace it.By this time I had lost my appetite. Needless to say they could cook it tender so why didn't they the first time.I paid for it but wouldn't go there again.

Had a birthday treat for afternoon tea. My mum and myself went along and had a fantastic afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the staff couldn't have been any nicer. The building is beautiful and the decor in the dinning room was lovely. Will definitely be back.

Stayed here last month. What a disappointment. Vegetarian food was dire! And they charged an extortionate amount for it. Some, allegedly Mediterranean vegetables, which consisted of mainly red onion, a sauce, and some crushed new potatoes. For how much? £35 two courses. I didn't complain as was with company and didn't want to spoil the evening. You seriously need to look at your offering though! Hotel room was missing lots of things. Dripping tap, mirror in a corner so you couldn't stand in front of it, leaking roof and nowhere to hang a long dress. Stains on bedding and towels and hairs. Asked for it to be changed. Colwick Hall is a beautiful building but is let down by those who own/run it.

We had a lovely time at Colwick Hall celebrating my husbands 80th birthday. The venue was perfect with several comfortable rooms and access to the lovely grounds. The food and drink were excellent and appreciated by everyone. They arranged for gluten free diet and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The organiser at Colwick was very patient and helpful in making the arrangements we asked for. Thank you everyone for such a special and memorable occasion.

This was our third stay at Colwick, and once again we were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming, polite and professional. We ate at the hotel on all three nights of our stay, and really enjoyed the food and attentive service. Revel in the history of the building and walk the beautiful grounds and lakes. This is our go to place when in Nottingham.

We recently celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary and can honestly say from start to finish the staff were brilliant in helping us to decide on the room venue, menu and on the day arrangements. The food was excellent with good portions for each course. Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to celebrate a big event in fabulous surroundings

Wonderful stay as always, third stay in twelve months. Beautiful building, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff are warm and welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Food is delicious. Lovely quiet location. Definitely be staying again.
