Excelente el hotel, el servicio inmejorable y la comida deliciosa! Estuvimos tres noches e hicimos las comidas (en su mayoría en el hotel) todas deliciosas y el servicio del personal del hotel es inmejorable. Las habitaciones siempre limpias y muy cómodas. Es cerca de la playa lo que lo hace aún mejor. el surf club y la piscina ambos muy bonitos.

The Gilded Iguana is an amazing oasis in the heart of Playa Guiones. The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant is fantastic. Breakfast and dinner were awesome every meal and my son loved the banana smoothies!...and there were multiples! The staff is very attentive to all your needs and they treat you like family. JC, in the dining room was always on top of our every want and treated my son like his own. Amy at the front desk was always there to help as well even when the request was outside of her normal day to day. All in all, we had a great trip with fantastic food in a gorgeous setting creating surfing memories for a lifetime!

Needed a gym while in Nosara and the Gilded Iguana had a small but fully equipped pay per use gym option. For an hour and a half time slot I thought 15USD was a bit much but the space provided allowed me to get a nice workout in and the A/C was refreshing.

Our family stayed at the Gilded Iguana a few weeks back, and we have been raving about the trip since! We were greeted with a warm welcome each day by Xochitl and Katie. Every single member of the staff was kind, welcoming, and accommodating. While we enjoyed exploring Nosara for places to eat each day, it was nice to always have the option to have an incredible meal at the hotel. One of the best parts of our trip turned out to be chatting with the wait staff about the area, the hotel, surfing, and many other things. We were welcomed each day by Bryan, Oscar, Mattis, Jeffery, J.C., and several others whose names I can't quite place. We felt right at home immediately upon arriving and it was entirely due to the staff, their upkeep of the facility, and their lovely personalities.

Cannot say enough good things about the Gilded Iguana. This was our second visit, and we just booked a third too. The staff (concierge, front desk, restaurant staff, pool bar, surf club, spa staff, juice bar at the surf club, housekeeping, etc.) are all incredible nice and great at what they do. The rooms are nice and very clean always, the grounds very well maintained, food was excellent... and again, I cannot understate how nice the people that work there are. They are also great at recommending fun excursions and wonderful restaurants in the area. Definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful spot in Nosara. The rooms, pools and grounds are lush, tropical and beautifully kept. All of the staff- front desk, restaurant servers, spa, yoga instructors and surf instructors were delightful, just excellent service all around.

If I could give 6 stars I would. I cannot say enough good things about The Gilded Iguana from the service to the staff to the rooms to the vibe. My wife and I have stayed in luxury and boutique resorts for other vacations or work travel, and the Gilded Iguana tops them all. We had our first stay last summer and simply couldn't wait to make a return trip. Fresh towels and juice upon check-in. A very spacious and comfortable room. The pool is amazing and food at restaurant is delicious. The surf club and team there are an added bonus. The hotel is a beautiful oasis.

The Guilded Iguana is a fantastic hotel and surf club. This was my first time to Costa Rica and The Guilded Iguana did not disappoint. The facilities are a serene, upscale oasis about a hundred meters from the beach. The room was cute and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The ceviche and octopus were favorites. I had so much fun surfing for the first time with our instructor, Josue. He thoroughly explained surfing mechanics and safety instructions before taking us out to catch some waves. Before the lesson was over, I even caught a few on my own. We will definitely be returning!

Booked a private surf lesson at 6:30AM , "instructor" showed up 17 minutes late said he was hanging out in with the other people in the back? Like I was supposed to go find him or something? I was told to show up and sign a waiver at the office - so thats where I went at 6:20 (never signed ?), I've Never been to this place before in my life - didn't know it was my responsibly to go search for the instructor if he's not at the office. Underwhelming lesson, a lot of fast instruction on the beach, then mostly watched me in the small white water, wanted me out by 7:50 so he could walk back for his 8AM lesson. Should have saved my $110, ~60 mins for a 90 min lesson.
