I recently booked this hotel to send my children to Smith College for summer school. I didn't expect that the room was extremely small, and the second floor can only be reached by stairs. There is no elevator, so I had to carry such heavy luggage up the stairs. On the second day, no one cleaned up. When I told the front desk, he said that the cleaning person had left. I asked to at least change the towels. This request was still met. It turns out that the cleaning person is not exclusive to the hotel. . There is also very little variety in breakfast. The front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. When I came back to pick up the kids, I changed hotels.

Room wasn't that well equipped for the money--no comfortable chairs, not much place to put luggage, and the premium channels on the TV were out of order. But the staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the location was good.

Comfortable, good breakfast, quiet, nice sip and lotion in the room,easy walking distance to everything. Staff r very nice. Free parking. Would recommend for anyone visiting northampton. Most of the time the prices r competitive. The only thing that I would recommend is a more flexible cancellation/ change policy.

We were warmly welcomed! The room was super clean, the breakfast was perfect ,room was very comfortable and checkout was warm and friendly . We plan on booking again next year for our family reunion! We also appreciated the up grade . We had a long drive from PA!

The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. The breakfast is phenomenal. The coffee is very tasty and they also have fruit flavored water and cookies! The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the inn is a quick walk to the downtown area and Smith college. (Hopefully) my daughter gets accepted to Smith and if she does we will definitely stay at the Ellery when we visit.

We tried the Ellery for our one-day stop in Northampton. Very happy with our room and the grounds at the hotel (gardens, picnic tables, etc.) Excellent AC, plenty of linens and amenities, nice breakfast (far more than most free continental breakfasts offered by other hotels), very quiet and clean. We had other first choices for our stays in Northampton but the Ellery is our first choice now.
