My wife booked an overnight stay in a Superior DeLuxe King room - the room was as far from Deluxe Superior as you can imagine. Extremely dirty, singled glazed windows that if you could see through looked out to the constantly busy and noisy main road through the town. The TV reception was limited to only ITV1 and Channel4.the toilet, once flushed, took over an hour for cistern to refill so that repeated flush, if necessary was impossible. The king size mattress was in fact two singles pushed together which could easily been the floor of a bouncy castle. The king size duvet was just two single fastened together by a heavy metal zip fastener. The pillows felt as if they were sculptured out of dense and un-foldable foam. Including our dinner platter of Fish, Chips & Grease times two the uncomfortable overnight stay cost approximately £300.00. As there is a Premier Inn 7 miles down the road in Thirsk my advice would be to head for the nearest INN’s OUT!

My husband and I went to the Northallerton Inn for our dinner after watching a film. I had been for lunch previously. Which was lovely. We ordered our meals steak and chips The meal came after a long wait, looked ok however turned out to be really awful. Burnt chips very tough steak half way through the meal I asked my husband what he though Of the meal He said does your steak taste funny I said yes it taste of perfume. We both. Did not eat the steak actually we took them home for our dogs. Not once throughout the meal did a member of staff asked how we were finding our food. We did not complain because the staff were not very visible. As we had paid for the food before we got it and we had to go home as we had a way to go, we were very disappointed as my previous visit had been lovely. Perhaps this was a one off or we chose the wrong meals, Just very disappointed.

Great location on the High Street. Room was lovely and looked like it had had a recent refurb. We went for luxury room with Sofabed and lots of space. Car parking at rear felt safe and lots of spaces. One suggestion would be a fan in the room as very warm when we visited but we still enjoyed our stay.

We're becoming fans of the Inn Collection so when we got an offer for Northallerton we gave it a try. Great hotel right in the centre of town which made it easy to go out around the pubs etc in the evening and the shops during the day. The usual Inn Collection well trained staff and big clean rooms and plenty of choice for breakfast.

Service was friendly and a smooth check in. The gentleman checking us in asked for our car reg, which we gave. He said he would register us on the system, which we were grateful for. Unfortunately, this didnt happen and we've just received a £100 parking fine. After almost an hour on the phone it is cancellrd, however, i would recommend to anyone staying there to put your own reg in their parking system. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms were a nice size.

Had dinner with a friend visiting from down south. 2 of us had a parmo, worst one we’ve had. Chicken was burnt on both ends, not enough sauce on it. One of our portion of chips was mainly scraps. Our friend’s fish was not warm, he asked for it to be warmed up in the microwave. After complaining about the chips we did get a new portion. We had a bottle of red wine, the wine was way too warm, took room temp to a new level. After speaking to the manager he offered us a free dessert. Cheesecake wasn’t great, texture was not how it should be. Given my friend is a foodie and likes finer things, I was embarrassed that I suggested to go here . Won’t be going back for food and certainty will not recommend.
