Beautiful property. Quiet and clean. Beverages and snacks available. Meals are prepared by a professional chef and are excellent! Would highly recommend for Coast to Coast hikers as it is very close to the trail. Interesting murals on the walls in the guestrooms.

What a beautiful place to stay on the Coast to Coast Warm greeting, drying room for wet soggy gear & welcome drink Beautiful room, great comfy beds and the dinner, breakfast and take-away lunch was amazing And best of all- already started the climb for the next day!

Stayed for one night on our Coast to Coast walk Great place to stay, extremely comfortable with a warm welcome from Alix and Brett. The evening meal by Chef Brett was top class and plentiful after a hard day's walking. The surroundings are beautiful being in woods on an elevated position. As an aside refreshing to find a younger couple running a property on the C2C. Highly recommend

A really nice place, right on the Coast to Coast hiking trail and a beautiful secluded spot with lots of nature around it. It's clean and cosy all round - the lounge area for everyone is also a nice place to read and relax. The dinner and breakfast are simply delicious and you don't miss going to the pub in the evening because everything is there.

We will be booking to stay here again
We had a great stay here. Was a bit apprehensive when told about eating dinner with the other guests but the hosts made it very warm and welcoming. We had such a great night with lots of laughter and the food was brilliant.
The massive inclosed space was great for tess(puppy) to run around in

We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night. Our room was cosy, warm and clean. Our dogs were allowed to stay with us which made the stay just perfect. Alix and Brett are fantastic hosts they made us feel really welcome. Alix is so friendly and chatty and Brett is a fabulous chef. The breakfast in the morning was top class! He also cooks on an evening which we enjoyed every night. The hotel is set in the middle of the countryside which was great for walking and exploring. We loved it. Thank you so much 😁
