This evening my family came here for dinner. We arrived around 7:45 and were sat promptly. Menu had an okay variety. The FOH didn't feel particularly welcoming with quick answers and no conversation. We were probably one of only 4/5 tables however it must have taken around 45 minutes for our food to come. Half my table enjoyed the meal (fish and chips/ pie) but however my food was of the other extreme. I had the steak which was more medium well/ well done than the MR stated on the menu. The chips, mushrooms and tomatoes were just okay however the salsa verde or however they called it was really not very nice. It was unfortunately covered all over the steak too. We ordered pudding also. The deconstructed cheesecake was pretty however no more than 3 spoonfuls. The profiteroles were more the size of choux buns which would have been good however they were extremely doughy in the middle, flat and the cream was more of a creme patisserie in the middle. I'd been here a few times in the past and had quite enjoyed the food however this is not the case anymore and don't think I will be returning.

We had a lovely stay at the White Hart. For two nights, the stay was perfect - cosy room, clean facilities and friendly staff. The food also exceeded expectations with excellent pub classics on offer - a great start to our stay after a long drive, and just what was needed. The location of the pub is perfect to explore the Cotswolds villages (Castle Combe, Lacock, etc) and a short drive away from Bath and Chippenham. If looking for a similar stay for 2 nights over the weekend in the Cotswolds, I highly recommend.

Piacevole scoperta. Abbiamo soggiornato due notti immersi nel silenzio e nell’atmosfera delle Cotswolds. A pochi min di macchina e a 40 min a piedi da Castle Combe, consiglio vivamente questa struttura. La camera era spaziosa, pulita, dotata di tutti i comfort (asciugacapelli, asciugamani, stufetta); il servizio di check in online ha velocizzato il tutto e quando siamo arrivati ci siamo diretti subito in camera. Ottimo anche il pub, sia per la cena che per la colazione. La scelta è molto ampia, una nota di merito alla pie del giorno e al fish and chips. Ampio parcheggio nel retro. Personale molto molto gentile e disponibile, sempre con il sorriso.

Absolutely fantastic place Staff so welcoming and very accommodating We stayed for 1 night and loved it Rooms very nicely presented and clean. The whole place didn't disssapoint and is in a beautiful location. Would definitely go back without a doubt

Such a beautiful location and amazing staff. Would definitely recommend, very accommodating and great service. I cannot exaggerate how beautiful of a place this is, in the picturesque countryside. The atmosphere was perfect, and would definitely encourage people to stay here.

Beautiful hotel in lovely rural setting. Room is lovely with a large bed and fluffy/hard pillows. Staff are very friendly, helpful and above all smiley. Great food in the restaurant the chef can do great things with local produce. I am looking forward to my next trip to this pub/hotel.
