Disappointingly the WORST room I have ever stayed in.
I had read reviews that the place was dated, but my bathroom door had literally fallen off its hinges. You can overlook a bit of dated decor, but my room was absolutely filthy. You could see the dirty and dust build up on furniture like the armchair, someone’s sock was in the fireplace, cobwebs and spiders in corners and under furniture, ***** on the loo seat and black mould and mildew in the bathroom. I even saw silverfish running across the bed!
Bedroom amenities were very minimal also, but the cherry on the cake was having to listen to the bar staff discussing vomiting and diarrhoea while waiting for my dinner.
Such a shame as the location is lovely.

The location is great for the East Midland airport and also the Donnington Race track.
Nice little hotel in a beautiful spot, with good food and accom.

Only stayed the one night in a cottage room with a view of the river. The room and en suite were clean and the bed was really comfy. The food at the restaurant was excellent.

We had an executive room which was badly in need of maintenance, Peeling wallpaper, general shabbiness of the décor, Bathroom had chipped tiles, loose toilet roll holder, mouldy ceiling and a non working extractor fan. Four star this definitely isn't. The grill and brassiere was more shabby than chic with stained seats. Very limited menu and not fine dining. Staff although polite had a couldn't care less attitude, Most disappointing stay we have had for years.

Stayed at The Priests house for a weekend at Donnington Race track. Nice hotel, lovely location, beside a scenic river. Good food and staff. Decor a bit tired and because we stayed at the hottest time of year (30 degrees+ we really missed air con. Room was boiling hot and very uncomfortable to sleep in. Main issue was no room service and we were there for 3 nights! When I mentioned this at reception I was told It was my fault as didn’t put sign on door. I was not told this on check in. No clean towels or bed made up etc. not great service considering we paid £200 a night. Shame as this let the hotel down.

We booked the Garden Suite for a family celebration Sunday Lunch. The booking system was good with quick responses to questions and clear instructions about booking the menus etc. The Sunday Lunch menu is varied and caters for all tastes and is not over priced. On the day we felt relaxed and un hurried, aged from 1 to 86, the room was perfect with room for the children to play and access to a large outdoor space. The food was great, served hot and the serving staff were polite and helpful. I can't thank you enough for making the day very special for us all.

Fabulous location right on the river and away from anywhere else. Nice comfortable rooms and good sized bar with decent food menu including weekly bbqs depending on weather. Smashing outdoor seating area right on the river is a must Was there on a Tuesday night and it was quite busy. Short staffed and young trainee staff clearly cant serve behind bar so long wait for drinks. Good range of food for breakfast too

James and his team hosted our big group for a fantastic afternoon tea. We had a fabulous time - the staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough for us, the setting was gorgeous and the scones were to die for! thank you, we can't wait to come back again!

Slightly disappointing and overpriced £140 for a deluxe room for the night No breakfast included No luxurys about it TV dated couldn't even find the radio through the TV Black dark marks all on the outside of the bath Sofabed has seen better days and we only used it as a sofa No luxurys about this room Staff are lovely Bed and pillows comfy Water area is lovely obviously like water areas has water fly's Lovely grounds Nice eating and bar areas Just priced far to high for what the room was
