Very welcoming. Ideal for a quick stay in Newcastle. Great value, very clean, nice spacious room. Safe area. No problems parking. The breakfast was tremendous with excellent selection. Either cold buffet or a really well prepared and tasty full English.

Genuinely, one of the nicest places I have stayed in the UK. Incredibly friendly welcome from the mother of the owner (who was away) and the room was brilliant (and quirky but in a great way). One of the comfiest beds I have slept in. Cannot recommend this place more.

What a lovely quaint place to stay in Wallsend, Breakfast area had a really interesting theme. Stan was the perfect host for me and my family, rooms were comfy and the location was very quiet, nice full English breakfast, plenty of parking space would definitely stay there again

This smart hotel is in a quiet area with free parking. The Manager meets and greets personally and immediately makes you feel at home. The whole hotel is tastefully decorated in an eclectic style of new and old individual pieces with a large dining room/bar area, conservatory, and outside patio garden area to the rear. The en suite rooms are large, in the same individual style, with large comfortable beds. Definitely not 'run of the mill'. The breakfast is good. The Manager is very attentive and 'on hand' going 'the extra mile' with hospitality. Good value for money, I would definitely stay there again!

Wir sind im Dorset Arms spät abends eingecheckt, da die eigentlich gebuchte Ferienwohnung nicht zumutbar war. Der Besitzer war so nett, uns zu dieser späten Stunde noch aufzunehmen. Er ist sogar früh aufgestanden, um uns Frühstück zu machen vor unserem Rückflug. Das Einzige, was wir zu bemängeln hatten, war, dass er unsere hilflose Lage ausgenutzt hat und für das Zimmer für 1 Nacht 140 Euro verlangt hat. Dies war das Zimmer nicht wert. Es war zwar sauber, aber ziemlich alt und hatte Schimmel in der Nähe der Fenster. Wir fühlten uns abgezockt.

I enjoyed an excellent stay at the Dorset Arms while visiting my daughter in Newcastle. Stan the owner operator is a joy. Full of colour and has some great stories. Nice clean room and great full English breakfast. I would recommend it without reservation.

Stayed one night . Nothing is too much trouble for the owner . We were given a choice in rooms The room was beautifully decorated, and everything you needed comfortable clean and quiet Beautiful breakfast set up multiple choices Cooked fresh for you . If you wanted something not on the breakfast menu, that's not a problem Would highly recommend staying at the Dorset Arms Hotel

Being a son of Wallsend I was surprised to find this hotel listed in Wallsend Growing up there, the only hotel I remembered ws Simpsons and I woulnt fany staying there. The owner, Stan made us very welcome and couldnt have been more hospitable. We also met his mum Eileen who was equally friendly and attentive. This accomodation is more like a b&b than a hotel but that being said it is a pleasant place to stay and convenient for Newcastle or the coast
