Travelodge by Wyndham North Platte

Was our worst experience ever!! Went to check in and asked for a handicap room with 2 beds. Got to our room and they had just finished cleaning it. It smelled good when opened the door but after inside, there was a fan running on the floor and everything was wet!! Bathroom floor was wet and very slippery. We had to place towels on the floor in order not to fall down and the carpet was wet as well. Had to wipe everything down in the room as it was wet as well!! After we got home on Tuesday, we both were sicker than dogs on Wednesday and went to doctor and she said we had a bacterial infection from the wet room!!! Should have just refused to not pay for the room!!! Will never stay here again!!!!

Bed was comfortable and room temperature was good. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Coffee was provided in lobby but no breakfast offered on site. There is a diner next to hotel. Floor needed a good vacuum as food crumbs were under the bed.

Prefer this hotel to others for the cost. Had to walk long distance to get to and from room. Usually, I travel with something to clean the bathroom. This time I did not have time to gather supplies before I left home. Bathtub needed good scrubbing.

The interstate was closed due to a blizzard; we chose this motel because there weren't many cars in the parking lot and were very pleased with the kind, helpful staff and the clean, nice and comfortable room. Good place, good price, very grateful!

It was pretty clean, it’s a little worn/outdated, but the staff was very friendly. It’s by the Applebees, Starbucks, and Dunkin. Skip the morning coffee tho! It’s a hotel in north Platte so manage your expectations. If there are other options at the same price point, maybe do those, but really it’s not bad!

The Travelodge in North Platte was a great place to stay. Inexpensive and clean, It’s a short walk to a 24/7 Diner named Penny’s where we had both dinner and breakfast: the food and service was very good. Travelodge North Platte had a nice flat comfortable bed and the best blackout curtains (yes darkness is important to a good night’s sleep). The curtains had a tray at their base and velcro closures on the their sides. If I am ever in need of lodging in North Platte, I’d stay there again.

This has been the worst place we’ve ever stayed, and we are road trip travelers. Our dog found a rat bait under the bed. I removed it immediately from her mouth and looked under the bed to find all sorts of garbage, ie, candy wrappers , M&Ms, bottle caps and at least an inch thick of dust. Reported this the the desk clerk and made her aware of a “green chunk” the pup had found and she offered another room. Desk clerk and I checked the “new” room and it was just as filthy under the bed and the air conditioner didn’t work. She offered me a vacuum cleaner and I cleaned our original room! I posted on FB the chunk of rat bait, which was confirmed by several friends. I brought it to the front desk the following morning of which I had to go a few rounds by phone with the manager until she comped the room. Small price since we have had to take our pet to the ER and we’ve not heard anything but crickets for this ordeal. I contacted their corporate office which stated I would be hearing from this hotel and have heard nothing. I will continue to pursue reimbursement for this horrific, traumatic experience that could have cost us our Papillon pup. I give this a ZERO rating and will continue to. No one, pet owner or not should have rat bait and filth under their bed when the hotel/motel has the nerve to list a cleaning policy on their site.

I saw the recent reviews and though I made a mistake booking this hotel. Not true. I was checked in by Josh, who was friendly and helpful. Josh also got me a few items to make my stay more comfortable. My room was clean, and there was no smell. My shower worked fine (pull the handle straight out from the wall to start). I had one housekeeping issue, which was quickly resolved. It seems that these bad reviews are from troll or competing hotels. This is the cheapest branded hotel in North Platte, and it is fine at this price point.

The bed sheets were markedly wrinkled, suspicious for sheets not having been changed or for someone laying on top of them after they were changed. Toilet had feces splattered over inside & outside of toilet. We asked for the second room, and upon entering it, again the sheets were noticeably wrinkled and placed inside-out, the bed skirt was bunched up as if someone was dancing on the bed, and again there was a residue of feces on the toilet bowl. I don't expect too much out of a 2 star hotel, but at least have the decency to clean the poop off the toilet and make the darn bed.
