Having stayed before the buy out we were disappointed that things we not run as well as previous. The lack of staff for breakfast was over 1 hour to wait before order was taken. They were short of staff and the team leader was rushed off her feet and very apologetic re the situation. The first day breakfast the porridge was luke warm but the second day much better. This is the first time we visited a 4 star hotel where there was no shower hats and other bits in the bathroom. The toilet roll holder was loose so heavy pulls on paper were not a good idea and there was mould about the wet areas.

Hadn’t stayed with this hotel chain before but liked the Norfolk coast area . On arrival the hotel looked lovely on the approach and continued on going into the hotel itself- staff couldn’t do any more for you and really made you feel welcome , rooms are great - clean and fresh, with coffee machine and fridge . I would recommend the restaurant, food was excellent and waiting staff very efficient without being over the top . A relaxing stay and atmosphere- I would strongly recommend this hotel

I was treated to a night here with my partner, for my birthday, we stayed in a very spacious comfortable room with everything you could need. Good sized bathroom. Friendly barman, had a few drinks in a very well decorated lounge where we spent the evening talking and laughing with each other. In the morning we came for breakfast and had a good variety of choices, from cooked breakfast to cereals and juices. Would happily stay again.

We’ve been here before and will definitely stay again. A really lovely hotel in a nice, quiet location. The whole place screams relaxation. Comfortable, well appointed rooms. Everywhere is spotless and we absolutely love the restaurant and the staff. The food is amazing, we ate here both nights and everything was delicious. Lovely breakfast too. It is everything we like about a hotel and never disappoints!

I booked Christmas lunch in the restaurant which, at the time, didn't have prices and menu sorted. I left all my contact details and eventually received a call when I was on a long-haul flight that I returned 48 hours later. At the time, the restaurant had released my booking (despite waiting 8 weeks for them to contact me back with the menu/price) and couldn't reinstate it. They promised to get back to me re. the waiting list situation and I still haven't heard back - that was 6 weeks ago. Hardly surprising that hospitality is struggling when management is so incompetent, and practices so cut-throat and customer-unfriendly. I have been a loyal customer for years, booking friends to stay there and having special occasion lunch and diners in the restaurant, but I can no longer support such a poor and unfriendly business.

Lovely Hotel but not the best nights sleep due to really high tog duvet !very warm. Also not helped by 2 very loud unsupervised children in next room until late The staff were all very pleasant and the receptionists lovely Loved the food had dinner and breakfast great setting very close to Holt and would return

Excellent hotel with well managed and trained staff team. The accommodation was well presented and all areas clean and tidy, plenty of space for guests to relaxed. Well run restaurant with excellent food choice. Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Excellent rooms (even had iron), comfortable bed, a great shower. Free WiFi was a bit spotty around the grounds, and as the area has poor mobile phone reception that may be important to some. Excellent food, but do book meal times in advance. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Parking is easy. Great location if you like quiet. A very long walk to the beach. Only suggestion is that they could do with a bell on the bar to attract a barman.

This was our first stay at The Pheasant and we were not disappointed. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The room benefitted from lots of high end facilities such as a Dyson hairdryer and a great Nespresso Machine. Food in the restaurant was of a high quality especially the fish and chips with homemade tartare sauce. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the bar and was made to feel welcome by Curtis the barman. Even as it was peak season and the hotel was busy, we were never kept waiting and the ambience was relaxed. We will definitely be returning when we are a next in North Norfolk. Liam and his team are a credit to Coaching Inns. 😊
