Lovely friendly warm welcome the room was clean and quite large. Bar and beer amazing. Breakfast is a must. Home cooked on order with good quality ingredients. We will be back.very central to the town centre and all the amenities that Dereham has to offer.

Second time we’ve stayed here, great pub atmosphere with good beer and slightly above average food quality but expensive. The rooms are huge as are the beds ( super kings) but the mattress could do with changing. Would stay again for the pub atmosphere.

Our second stay here, clean well decorated bedroom of a good size (Room9). Quiet as on the upper floor.
Good pub menu with generous portions. It was nice weather so sat outside with a drink before going in to eat.

After booking this hotel and prior to traveling, my wife, unfortunately became very poorly with an horrendous D&V bug and we were unable to travel, we contacted the hotel ASAP and at first we were informed by a very polite female member of staff that she would cancel and we would not be charged, however she advised us to check with google booking in case they try and charge us. I checked with the website and was advised to contact hotel direct, which I did again with an email. The hotel then debited my card for the full cost of the room, I contacted the hotel only to speak with an HORRENDOUS man and I mean HORRENDOUS, he claimed we were never informed that we wouldn’t be charged and subsequently hung up on me. I cannot believe this man has anything to do with the hospitality industry and he absolutely lacks in his customer care skills. I will never ever book this hotel ever again. OBVIOUSLY A STRUGGLING HOTEL, if they have to take payment from people who contact them and have a genuine reason for canceling !!! Shameful !!!
