Far exceeded expectations for a very reasonable price. Friendly staff, lovely public areas (bar, reception etc.), comfortable roon (we were in Garden Court Annexe) though no aircon - maybe there is in the main building. Easy walk into town. Full marks - may be back!

Stayed for 2 nights the hotel is up there with the best of them the staff were exemplary hotel was quite, very clean and the food was fantastic.

We booked a small double room and we were a little concerned that the room would be small. We were pleasantly surprised that the room was of a good size and met our needs. We stayed for 1 night on a BB and evening meal deal and the whole experience from start to finish was excellent, Steve Ashford and his team were all excellent and so was the food, drinks, room and location. We look forward to staying there again soon.

The stay in The Park Hotel was very pleasant. The view from our room of the park opposite was a delight. The air conditioning in our Park View Room worked well and was a necessity as we stayed during the recent heatwave when the temperature reached 30ºC. We ate lunch and dinner there on both nights and the the main course and dessert options changed on each day. Wifi was good and lift access to the first floor a bonus for me. The room did not have a walk in shower, but the bath was well equipped with safety equipment (grab rail and non slip mat). The staff were pleasant and friendly. There is a large car park and we had no difficulty parking at any time even though when we got there there a large function being held in the dining room. We have stayed in other Brend Hotels in Barnstaple, but would definitely choose The Park Hotel if staying in Barnstaple again as we liked the view of the park and the river was just a short walk across the park.

Thank you so much for the wonderful care and attention we were given during our recent stay at your hotel. We have never visited before and were thrilled to be able to enjoy our 15th wedding anniversary in total comfort and beautiful surroundings. All the staff were dedicated and attentive at all times, the room was spotless - light and airy - and dinner in the evening was excellent. Although I had requested a rose, we were delighted to find a full vase of roses and lilies on our table which was a kind and thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. We were also really appreciative of the sumptuous and tasty breakfast - superbly cooked to perfection. We live just 33 miles away so now we have found you we will be visiting again in the future.
