Golden Gables Inn

For people with mobility problems there are no elevators. I would suggest you call if you need a first level. Also no coffee pots in the rooms. When we arrived the room smelled musty. We opened the doors and thought it might just need airing out. However the smell never went away. It was powerful when you first open the door. The chairs on the balcony were filthy. Obviously no attempt to wipe them down after guests check out. The internet took a whole day before we were able to get on. After that it was good but missed 1 day. Frustrating. There was never anyone in the office. Every time we went by no-one was there. There was a sign saying they would be right back. Also frustrating. The bed was comfortable but very high. The pillows seemed dirty. They need a good washing. Other than that, the price is reasonable and it was in a very good location in North Conway.

Very clean and spacious room! The rooms were updated with modern touches and I felt right at home. The traditional keys might scare some people off, but that was no big deal. Also, the 200s are in the back of the building behind the 100s! That took me a minute to figure out.

A map of the various buildings to help us find our way to our room would have been a great visual aid.

Staff was pleasant room was comfortable and quiet and clean, close to everything.

Beautiful motel, with easy access to all amenities. Furniture needing to be replaced, did a number on our backs. And also I asked for a top floor which we did not receive. Coffee maker in the room would of been nice too.

check in was fine and check out really was"t really sure. But offered no water or where to purchase or even supply water. vending machines were empty.
