Spruce Moose Lodge

My friend and I stayed at the Spruce Moose Lodge for 2 nights in June 2024. We absolutely loved it! Leon & Nellie were so kind and accommodating. The breakfasts were wonderful! We spent one evening hanging out in the living room area, working on a puzzle while watching a movie. We loved spending time with their dogs, Avery & Jed. The location is perfect - quiet but walking distance to the cute downtown area. Super short drive to tons of great hikes! Leon gave us some great suggestions and helped us with our planning. The rooms are adorable and super comfortable. We slept great! Highly HIGHLY recommend!

We stayed for four nights and were very sad to leave. Nellie and Leon made us feel like their home was our home too. The house is beautiful. Other reviews state that it is not fancy but it is extremely homely and we were made to feel so welcome. Sitting with other guests at breakfast (french toast, eggs, pancakes) was so interesting, hearing where everyone was from and what they were visiting. One day, we ate a picnic lunch on the verandah in the gorgeous fall sunshine. Being able to help ourselves to tea and coffee (particularly the wide range of herbal teas :) ) was an added bonus as were the sweet snacks left out in the evenings (cookies and doughnuts!). Honestly, thank you so much Nellie and Leon for such a wonderful stay!

A great B&B well run by a super friendly couple & their 2 sweet dogs! Real country breakfast & fun to meet other people from all over, a couple was from England, another from Germany & various parts of USA, all friendly.

This place has everything that a great B&B should have. Wonderful host and hostess. Super breakfasts, although not fancy. Coffee all day and afternoon cookies. Large living room for guests. Fascinating guests to share travel tips with. Two friendly dogs. A wonderful porch to sit and watch hummingbirds up close. Location is very close to the town center, yet the place is very quiet. The room was very comfortable, with a fine shower.

The Lodge is very nice and the staff are very accommodating. Lots of log cabin charm. It is located in a pretty quiet part of town. I noticed the only time here was traffic noise ( the Inn is about 100 ft from the road) was later afternoon and early morning - the local rush hour I assume. Otherwise, it was nice and quiet. It is near most outdoor activities. Had a great breakfast too. We would stay there again when visiting the area.

I loved staying here, it was really welcoming, especially the dogs! Our room was cosy and clean, and breakfast is included each morning. You get to sit with the other guests and have a chat with everyone, which I really enjoyed. There's a porch with rocking chairs, a communal fridge and tea and coffee available all the time. It's about a 10 minute walk in to North Conway.

OK so this isn’t the fanciest place but it’s so cozy and homely and the beds are super-comfortable. Our hosts, Nellie and Leon are really friendly and made us feel welcome, I love the way it’s like an ‘old fashioned’ style guest house where the breakfast (which was delicious - particularly the pumpkin pancakes) is served in the lobby and there are large tables so you can chat and share stories with other guests. There’s fresh coffee and a good selection of teas in the lobby at all times and often a homemade cookie, it’s also lovely that there’s proper wine glasses and mugs rather than so many places we have stayed in where everything is single-use plastic (my absolute pet-hate). Of course I can’t leave a review without mentioning the dogs - Jed and Avery who were the stars of the show, I enjoyed having a game of fetch and seeing wagging tails in the mornings!

The hosts Nellie and Leon were very friendly. The breakfast was great. The place is clean and quiet. It has plenty of parking spots for guests. It is a great location and walking distance from North Conway's Main Street and the Conway Scenic Train Station. The only con is that the WIFI did not work very well at all.

Very beautiful lodge. Homemade breakfast is excellent, every morning something different. You could sit at a large family table. So nice to talk to the other guests. Beautiful entrance with lovely pottery and plants and different places to sit and enjoy the garden. Very friendly owners. Loved their dogs. Nelly and Leon treat their guests as family. It comes from the heart. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
