If you'd like to stay at a plush children's camp with no counselors, then this is a great choice (actual children, loudly and in multitudes). Proximity to MOCA, bed comfortable.

The inn is so unique and very relaxing! The historic buildings are beautifully renovated and thoughtfully styled. I loved the art, the colors, the furniture. Breakfast was wonderful. The pool, hot tub, sauna area are such a bonus. It felt essential to have that extra thing to do at the hotel in the quieter town of North Adams. We spent one day at Mass Moca and the next day at The Clark. We did some antiquing and thrifting. It was a really relaxed weekend, thanks to the Porches Inn!

We had such a nice anniversary weekend staying at the Porches. The staff helped arrange a couples massage for us and was friendly and helpful about all our needs. We enjoyed our room, the hot tub, the sauna and the pool. We had a great weekend.

This is a great hotel! It was very comfortable and spacious and the pool, hot tub and sauna were great extras. We enjoyed a concert at Studio 9, and checked out lots of local art, restaurants, and walking trails. Great vacation spot!

Really chill and nice time in a artsy and natural setting. Good breakfast and service and the room was cozy. MAMoCA is worth visiting.

This was our third visit to the Porches Inn and we loved it more than ever. The rooms are cozy and comfy and thoughtfully appointed. The pool and hot tub were a perfect way to unwind after our long drive north from Maryland. The staff were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. And the breakfast was spectacular!! We walked to a great dinner in North Adams and then spent the next day at MASS MoCA, one of our most favorite museums. We will certainly be back!!!

Beautiful retreat in the Berkshires. Fun for the whole family. Rooms were spacious, albeit on the expensive side. Beautiful finish and design. Everyone in our family loved it.

This is a great place to stay if you're planning a visit to MassMoCA. The museum is right across the street, and it's a short walk into town where there are restaurants and shops. Our room in the Sage house at Porches was clean, comfortable, and nicely accoutred. But I would request a room on the upper floor next time, as the walls and the floors of that restored old house do little to reduce sound. (Also note that the original part of the inn fronts right onto busy River Street, so you might want to consider requesting a room away from the street.) I appreciated that the continental breakfast is available starting at 7am for early risers like us. There was a nice selection of cereals, baked goods, fruits, yogurt, and hard-boiled and scrambled eggs. We also made use of the inn's small 24-hour fitness studio with a variety of cardio machines, a universal for weight-lifting, and free weights.
