Lovely and cozy hotel with very Northern Europe vibes with the timber modular construction. The breakfast was something to behold! Great food selection! 1 night was too short!

Super Hotel, saubere, moderne Zimmer und wirklich freundliches Personal. Besonders die Verpflegung (Frühstück und Getränke) hat zwar einen stolz wirkenden Preis (20€ pP das Frühstück), ist es aber zweifellos wert. Hat uns sehr gefreut. Ein paar Mankos aber dennoch: es gibt (zumindest in unserem Zimmer) keine Klimaanlage, im Hochsommer daher ggf kritisch und die Bar ist leider am Wochenende geschlossen, was Abends leider sehr bedauerlich ist. Über das Bad mit eingeschränkter Privatsphäre kann man sich sicher streiten (Glaswand vom Schlafzimmer durch die Dusche bis zur Toilette; ist zwar in Teilen milchig, aber jeder über 1,80 Größe kann hier 1a seinem Partner bei der Sitzung zugucken… das kann man jetzt finden wie man möchte ..) . Insgesamt sind das aber Kleinigkeiten, ich würde das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen

We recently stayed 2 nights at The 2nd Home Hotel and really enjoyed it. It’s positioned in a rather unusual location on the same site as a garden centre just outside Nördlingen but infact it’s just a short 5 minute stroll into the old town and therefore works perfectly - especially as they offer ample free parking. The rooms were large and comfortable. A modern, minamalist design but with a nice bathroom and shower. Our only complaint was the lack of AC - surprising given that otherwise it had a rather modern feel. They provided a fan but it’s never the same is it. We loved the idea of a free beer if you chose not to have your room cleaned. We didn’t need it for one night so chose to accept the vouchers and thoroughly enjoyed the beer in our room before we went out!

A modern building just outside Nordlingen centre. A spacious minimalist room with wooden fittings. Very helpful at reception. We thought there would be a fridge and they provided one when asked. It was a little noisy though! There are Juliet balconies so you can keep the door open for fresh air securely and despite current roadworks it is literally 5 minutes from the old centre. Comfy beds, a good shower and plenty hot water as well as an electric kettle. Plenty free parking (but Nordlingen has free parking outside the walls anyway). Clever lighting but not quite bright enough for easy reading. Table and a chair (and a bench) but no comfy seating. They offer you a free beer etc for not having your room cleaned – quite a good swap!

I think that a really good concept has been implemented brilliantly here. I felt like I was in good hands and really enjoyed my short time. Just a few minutes walk from the hotel to the old town of Nördlingen. Ample free parking at the hotel. Friendly and friendly reception and check-in. Super nice room, wooden floors, really good bed, nice bathroom with floor-level shower. Small but very nice sauna area with a view over the parking lot into the Nördlinger Ries. Good and rich breakfast menu presented in the restaurant. The furnishings are also impressive here - wood, concrete, subtle but totally tasteful decoration, matching pictures. I would stay here again at any time. Many thanks to all employees who work attentively and in a guest-oriented manner.

When we booked this hotel, it was part of Ibis chain. I am pretty sure it was advertised as having AC in the rooms in Ibis webdite. Since our booking, it must have changed hands and refurbished. The outer shell of the hotel is black. You do not need to be rocket scientist to figure out that the rooms would get hot in a hot sunny day with dark exterior like that. That is exactly what happened with our room. Outside temperature reached 35 degrees on that day and the temperature in our room reached 29. With a fan we managed to get it down to 27 at night. No sleep. Otherwise the room was ok. The breakfast buffet was good. I found the reception staff distanced.

The modern, new hotel is located a few meters outside the city walls of Nördlingen. There are also free charging stations for electric cars in the large parking lot. We enjoyed a good dinner. The breakfast buffet was also good.
