The room was surprisingly larger than those in Hakodate and Sapporo. It even fit both my 28-inch and 24-inch suitcases, which is considered large in Japan. I didn't want to sleep on tatami anymore, so I stumbled across a recommendation on xhs. It was cheap and shared with the First Dragon Hotel across the street, so I booked it right away. Don't miss this place!

Very cost-effective, good location, very quiet at night. The ice cream downstairs is delicious 😋 You can go to the hot springs across the street.

Recently refurbished room and very clean.
Free use of the very grand onsen across the road is a big bonus.
Very good value.
Helpful staff.
A pity about the automatic machine checkin that was troublesome, but the staff resolved it.

The hotel is right across from the Dai-ichi Takimotokan. It seems to be owned by the same owner, so you can use your room card to access the hot springs at Takimotokan. The breakfast was a bit simple, with only one bread sandwich and milk, and no refills on the milk. However, the ice cream was delicious! The room was quite clean!

The location is great, right in the heart of the hot springs district, at the entrance to Hell Valley. The hotel is very basic, with no front desk. There's just a self-service check-in/check-out machine, and no service. The bakery on the first floor is expensive and the food is terrible. It's only suitable for backpackers.

The best choice for Noboribetsu Jigokudani and the hot springs. Remember to go to the public pool of the hotel opposite. You will feel refreshed after soaking. I will continue to choose this hotel next time I come to Noboribetsu
