Very nice prperty. We stayed in villa no. 1 which is very big and high stanard. The best part about the Buckler's lodge is the staff and food. Staff is very nice, especially Nelson who made fire for us in our garden everyday. The staff was always smiling and very nice. Only suggestion atleast some drinks should be included in dinner. We will be back again.

We had such a lovely time here at bucklers, the staff are very friendly they make your stay so comfortable, the food here was delicious from starter right to dessert ,we enjoyed every second of our stay the rooms are also very nice and spacious

Bucklers never fails to impress and to keep guests coming back for more. The staff are just amazing - always willing to go the extra mile, always willing to assist in any way possible. Management is a real asset, as is the whole team. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and perfect for a short or longer stay. You can indulge at the restaurant or do the self-catering route - but why do that when the restaurant can do it for you ;) We love Bucklers and will certainly return to enjoy their fantastic hospitality again. Thank you Jerod and your team for making our stay so welcoming and pleasant.

From the entrance we were greeted by the most beautiful scenery. We drove from Johannesburg. The receptionist was very friendly. Our charlet was clean and well decorated, there wereTVs in both the lounge and the bedroom. Staff were very friendly and were going above and beyond. Nothing was too much for them. The manager introduced himself to us and through out our stay he kept checking on us. Special mention to the staff from Pietermaritzburg he made sure we were comfortable and he kept interacting with us, unfortunately his name is not easy to remember but we give him a 10/10. The safari drive was well organised. We managed to see loads of animals in their natural habitats. We will definitely recommend Bucklers as its overlooking crocodile river and would see animals drinking from the river. Proper safari lodge.

We went with a tour group called toer broers, double booked us and 13 of us had to sleep in a much cheaper hotel, so if the lodges pillows were fluffy...we would not know. We had a great dinner and came back next morning for a continental breakfast.
