We booked a one night stay here… on arrival a miserable woman dragged herself to the desk to care for us… when we finally got to our room it smelled so terrible of urine I couldn’t catch my breath…. She offered to freshen it but that would have taken major reconstruction… so onto another room after much complaining and that was equally as bad! She then refused to refund our charge and wouldn’t even allow us the courtesy to speak with her manager when she did reach them!! I repeat… do not stay here!!!

The pictures of the rooms are deceiving on their website. They’re clean, but it’s mismatched furniture that’s too large for the room, we had no microwave, the AC unit was noisy, the metal frame the mattress was on was exposed and I can’t tell you how many times I hit my foot on it. It was the only place available to get a room otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed there.

Very disappointed. The listing stayed outdoor pool. Sauna hot tub and continental breakfast. We arrive and there is no outdoor pool, the hot tub is not working and we were told the maintenance repair man doesn’t work weekends. We arrived Friday at 5pm. According to previous reviews it hasn’t been working since 8/2. I asked to her refunded so we could go somewhere else and they declined to offer any kind of refund . Oh, and their breakfast is a little Debbie honey bun . I do not recommend this hotel.

Tried to check in at the time shown in my confirmation email (3pm). Was told I couldn't until 4. The lady from the desk who talked to me was less than pleasant and not helpful. I wish I'd have read other reviews upon booking because I would have picked somewhere else to begin with.

I've stayed at this place several times a year for probably 20 years. It is an old Days Inn and I mean "old." The hotel is ok but old and you get the feeling like it's really dirty behind the scenes. I'm pretty sure the room carpet has never been shampooed in the last 20 or so years. Everything is done on the cheap. The ice machine doesn't work, the hot tub is ALWAYS broken, the TV's are small and the AC is hit or miss. I've stayed there with a portable AC unit in my room a number of times. Breakfast is a bust, but weirdly the coffee is pretty good in the lobby. We continued to stay here because it is cheap and on the way home, but because the hot tub is ALWAYS broke we gave up. That's pretty much why we stayed there all these years...cheap and a hot tub. You can stay a couple miles closer to Brainard at a better hotel for about $15 more.

Check in is 4p. Got to hotel at 4:12p. Room not ready. Don’t have check-in at a time that the room isn’t ready by. Paying for time period of check-in through checkout and not having access to the room is unprofessional, disrespectful and inconsiderate to the customer.

I normally don’t like writing negative reviews but feel compelled to share. Our family had three rooms booked for the weekend. The rooms were all worn out and dated. None looked like the picture shown in the ad. All of them had a funky smell and weren’t very clean. The continental breakfast was bread, Cheerios, bagels, and boiled eggs (that tasted like vinegar). $10 per person to use the pool and you had to provide your own towels. A very loud argument outside our particular room after 11 pm kept us up until after midnight with doors slamming, yelling, and swearing. For $150+ per night it was definitely not worth it.

This place is NASTY!!!! They currently operate under the name Nisswa Inn and Suites. Cannot get anyone to answer the phone at any time of day for reservation changes. No one at the front desk to check in or out. You have to ring a bell and no one still came out. No hot water for a shower. Not even a drop! Complimentary coffee had stuff floating in it- gross. Very outdated, dirty and absolutely no service. Spend the extra money and stay at a better hotel. I was there for one night for a wedding and was out of my room as fast as possible.
