I stayed here to visit Takachiho gorge, which I wanted to go to for the first time on my first trip with him in the spring of 2016. I got the whole house but the share bath room it out door far away. Weather so cold (end of December) but heater from gas not warm enough.

As Takachiho Gorge is comparatively hard to get to we felt much better staying in Takachiho for a night. And it's great to find a modern hotel in Takachiho, the front desk was nice and helpful, note that it is such a small town and dining options are not a lot so I would recommend have dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Hotel has a large parking lot and breakfast is great (a bit wait in the morning during peak time)
