別府港目の前。トラディショナルな旅館である。 古びた外観ではあったが、内部はそう悪くない。 広縁から港が見える。フェリーが入港し出航していくまでを酒を飲みながらぼーっと眺められた。とてもよい体験。 いかにも大浴場がありそうな雰囲気だが、ユニットバスのみ。 あとトイレが温水洗浄式ではなかった。 ここは料理屋を併設していて、夕食をつけるとそちらで食事ができる。 また、当日に夕食をつけることも可能なようだった。 今回そのまま素泊まりしたが、わりと評判がいいようなので、食事つきのほうがおすすめだと思う。

This time, I chose a hotel in Oki that was close to the ferry terminal. So I chose this one, which is close to Beppu Port on Nishinoshima. The rental car office where I had made reservations was also next door, which was very convenient. It feels more like an old-fashioned inn than a hotel, but has it been renovated? The room itself was cleaner than I imagined from the outside. Maybe that's why the whole building is now non-smoking. (It was a smoking room when I made the reservation with the travel agency.) There is a smoking corner outside the entrance, but there is no roof so you will need an umbrella in case it rains. There is no one at the check-in reception desk, but it responds when you open the front door, so you can come out eventually. I think there is a lot of work to be done by one person due to the lack of manpower, so please be patient and don't get irritated. After checking in, I was given a souvenir of local sake (720ml) and rice for two. I'm grateful, but during my trip, I suddenly started carrying more heavy luggage. The high-speed boat ``Rainbow Jet'' on the way back has a weight limit for carry-on bags, so I carried my alcohol in a paper bag. There is a public space like a reception room in the hallway, and newspapers are available. There was a vending machine there and beer too. The 2nd floor room with a view of the ferry terminal has a traditional Japanese inn layout, with a six-tatami mat and a table and chairs outside. However, since the road was right in front of me, I could see everything from the outside, so I mostly kept the curtains closed. There is no safety deposit box. The walls are thin, so if you speak loudly you can hear it. Also, if you slam it, it will echo in the room below, so be careful. The bathroom and toilet are comparable to those of a business hotel. It's located one step up, and it gets hot when the door is closed, so I left it open when I wasn't using it. It's been a while since I didn't have a washlet, but I guess I can't use it because there's no outlet. There was a refrigerator in the hallway in front of the bathroom, filled with cold water. The water heater was above the refrigerator. For dinner and breakfast, you can go to the dining room next door via an internal passage. There were also local customers coming in from outside to eat. The older sister was charming and made me feel comfortable. The portions were probably locally sourced sashimi (of course there was squid), rock oysters, tofu & yellowtail hot pot, turban shell grilled, mozuku, hassun, etc. The portions were delicious without being too much. Breakfast was delicious, but each person had their own bowl of rice, and I knew from the start that I wouldn't be able to finish all of it, so I got Saran wrap and made rice balls to take with me for lunch. This time I chose to stay with two meals, but I think it can't be helped that it was 8,800 yen more expensive than a room without meals considering the content of the food, but the price of the room without meals itself felt like an island price considering the quality of the accommodation, so I felt it was a little expensive. . (By the way, when I searched, a nearby guesthouse was about 3,000 yen more expensive)
