In recent years, Nishiizu has become a standard place to start the year. I can't forget the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji turning pink over Suruga Bay. Plus, the Ishigaki strawberries from Mt. Kuno are also delicious! You can't see Mt. Fuji from the room here, but the sunset over the sea of Dogashima was spectacular and amazing. I watched it all the time on the daybed in the second room. I'm over 60 years old and can't eat as much as I want, so food has become a low priority for me at accommodations, but I was very satisfied with both the quantity and quality of this accommodation. Even if the word of mouth says it's delicious, it's often not that good, so I didn't have high expectations, sorry, it was a pleasant surprise. I don't think this is a "luxury accommodation" based on the regular price range. The luxurious rooms, food, and amenities are as expected. That's not because the staff are foreigners other than the payer, but because the staff's education and career are still in the early stages. After all, it can't be compared to "Fufu", where the customer service is as expected. But that's not to say I'm dissatisfied. Their hard work and politeness make me want to support them. I want to pray for their future success as they build their careers. I would like to recommend this place to those who are not looking for a "luxury inn" but are looking for a spectacular view, delicious food, and comfortable, hard-working service. Finally, the open-air bath on the terrace is too straight from the sofa in the main room (living room), so I would like some kind of privacy. Blind shutters are lowered from above, so they are not suitable for privacy from below. We are an elderly couple who have been married for 37 years, and we don't want to be seen relaxing in the hot water, and we don't want to be seen (laughs). This is a flexible inn with ideas for customers everywhere, so I would like some kind of simple privacy that only those who want it can attach, like the removable terrace fence so that you can look at the sea while soaking in the hot water. I will come back to enjoy the delicious food, the Nishiizu sunset, and the hard-working staff. Thank you for your help.

My wife and my adult daughter. We paid just under 140,000 yen on a certain travel site. The parking lot is spacious and spacious, so even those who are not confident in driving can park there. There was also an EV charger. We visited from the city center, taking the Tomei Expressway and the Izu Longitudinal Road while looking at Mt. Fuji. A few people greeted us at the parking lot, and there was nothing like what other people said. Apparently they buried a utility pole in front of the inn at their own expense, so there was nothing blocking the spectacular view. We could not hear the sound of cars driving on the road in front of us, so it was comfortable. The main room was the "Konpeki" at the back, but the private room was the room at the front on the same floor. At sunset, we lay on the sofa cushions and the sunset and magical sky spread across an extraordinary view that was neither a beach nor a horizon, and it seems that my daughters remember it well. We felt that the furnishings in the room, pajamas, gowns, sweatshirts, ponchos, and other items were carefully designed. The hot spring water is said to be one of only 1% of the nation's hot springs, and is completely free-flowing, with no added water or heating. We were able to add cold or hot water to suit our tastes, but we didn't do anything and it was just right. When two women were taking a bath, I went to a private room to relax by myself at first, but I couldn't see anyone if I closed the electric blinds, so I stayed in bed in the main room even when the women were taking a bath. We were told that there were sometimes bugs in the open-air bath on the terrace because the building was behind a mountain, but that didn't happen during our stay, and we were soothed by the hot spring, which was large enough for two people to bathe in, and the magnificent view. The French cuisine served in pajamas allowed us to experience the local ingredients. They called us in advance before our stay to confirm whether we had any allergies, so we were able to leave it to them with peace of mind. The breakfast was also delicious and filling. The female CEO, who appeared from time to time, had a frank conversation that I thought was one of the attractions. I'm sure there will be various opinions, but for me it was an experience that I can be proud of.

Very disappointing stay. Nobody can speak even basic English but hey we are in Japan so we made as much effort as we could to be understood. We arrived at 4:30pm and as soon as they show us the room they kept pushing us to have dinner at 5:30 which we found a bit too early. We could manage to push it to 6:30pm finally… we get this pretentious French menu (filled with spelling mistakes) and served very blend food for dinner. When it gets to the main course, we got served beef, which we told we cannot eat already upon reservation one month earlier. That’s when they say it’s not true until I show them their confirmation that no beef will be served in both Japanese and English. Then 3 people were debating what to do for 15 minutes until we decide it was time to call it a night. Quite disappointed not because of the mistake but about all the confusion and hassle. We were simply trying to have a good stay and a nice dinner — both did not happen. We surely would not recommend such an expensive place that cannot accommodate simple requests. Also, the property is located just above the national road, which is quite noisy and with a pretentious heavy decor. We should have chosen a traditional ryokan.
