Property Description
Nestled in Wazhuang Village on the outskirts of town, merely 3 kilometers from the urban center and adjacent to National Highway G356 and the Xixi Stream, this project embodies the concept: "Dwelling Amidst Rice Waves and Tea Fragrance – An Encounter with Wabi-Sabi Aesthetics on the City’s Edge." Though barely three kilometers from the city, it feels like stepping into the scene described by Tao Yuanming: *"A dimly visible distant village, smoke curling up from peaceful homesteads."* Here, wabi-sabi-inspired structures with white walls and simple tiles stand quietly by the meandering river, embraced by undulating rice fields, terraced tea mountains, and lush bamboo groves – resembling an ink-wash scroll still glistening with fresh pigment. While city lights flicker in the near distance, here one falls asleep to the chorus of crickets and frogs. At dawn, opening the window reveals mist drifting from the forest edge over tender rice shoots, evoking Su Shi’s vision of *"rippling water shimmering under clear skies"* – yet infused with the earthy fragrance of the fields. Wabi-sabi architecture finds beauty in texture and serenity in simplicity. Rough rammed-earth walls bear witness to the dance of sunlight and clouds, while sparse courtyards cradle a few leaning bamboo stalks. Every surface texture whispers the philosophy of *"sabi"* – as echoed in Matsuo Bashō’s haiku: *"In utter simplicity, hear the resonance of life."* Designers reinterpret traditional rural dwellings with a contemporary touch, weaving rammed earth and raw timber into a tapestry of warmth. Its most profound gift is restoring modernity’s lost sense of authentic "dwelling." Without fleeing the world, one may touch the essence of the literati’s millennia-old longing – *"Long confined in a cage, I return again to nature"* – in a cup of tea, a row of rice, or the shadow of bamboo. As the city thrums with the clamor of traffic, a white egret skims past your window, its wingtips carrying the fragrance of rice blossoms.
