This is a perfect place to stay if you're revitalized by nature. Accessibility to the outdoors is abundant. Owl calls are a constant nighttime soundtrack. Carla, Bonnybank's proprietor, is an accomplished accessible nature tours operator. We participated in a morning birding hike with a local birding expert. The availability of such activities was a delightful dynamic, available only at unique operations such as Bonnybank. Carla's knowledge of the region's natural history and local flora and fauna is impressive and is shared with a singular calm and gentle style. We stayed two nights. Breakfast each morning was great. The offerings were varied and tasty. (Special dietary options are available.) And the coffee and tea were hot and plentiful! Double thumbs up! Thank you, Carla.

We were lucky enough to have a second stay at Bonnybank BnB. Carla is very welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and fun to explore. The homemade breakfasts are plentiful and delicious! This time we stayed in the large Escarpment room…first time was the Red Squirrel room…both were great. Hopefully you will get to stay at Bonnybank soon 🙂 Highly recommended!

Thank you Carla (and Willow) for a truly memorable stay. The experience is one we will never forget - the history you shared with us, the friendliness - if only we could have stayed longer. Memories will last forever. A truly special place. Thank you!

We had an enjoyable stay with Carla! We stayed in The Red Squirrel room that had the most comfortable bed ever. Located next door to an owl sanctuary and we could hear the owls hooting throughout the night. Served a nice home cooked breakfast. Country life at its finest!

Carla is a wonderful hostess. She has loved in the area snd has a wealth of local knowledge. We had a lovely visit. Willow greeted us when we arrived. She is a very sweet, calm pup. The grounds are beautiful and our room was comfortable. It was very cool hearing the owls. We look forward to returning next year.

We spent 2 nights at Bonnybank B & N while in the area for a wedding. Fantastic location, minutes to Jordan Station and all the attractions in the surrounding area. This century home sits on a one acre property- with beautiful mature trees and gardens. Bonnybank neighbours a world renowned owl sanctuary. We were greeted with gentle hooting as we arrived. Carla is very welcoming and accommodating. Clean rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds. The breakfasts were delicious- made with local produce. Highly recommend. We will be back.

If you’re looking for more than a place to sleep, then BonnyBank is the B&B to book. The house is nestled in a nature preserve in the Tender Fruit Belt of Ontario. Carla introduced us to a glimpse of life in her laid back natural style, warm and eager to please. We loved the custom breakfast embellished with creative condiments. Later we walked the grounds and learned about the Owl Foundation next door. Ask Carla about the area; she is very knowledgable and eager to share.A

Bonnybank Bed and Breakfast was an excellent destination for a retreat from the city. The grounds offer guests the opportunity to relax and take in the wildlife. There is an abundance of plant and animal life around the gardens and down at the dock on the creek. The host, Carla, is welcoming and knowledgeable about the area - and was happy to provide thoughtful suggestions about activities in addition to sharing her deep knowledge of the region. Also, breakfast each morning was excellent - suited to my tastes and featuring an array of local goods in the mix. And of course there's sweet Willow to welcome you and sit with you if you're inclined to spend time in the garden or on the terrace.

Carla, the owner and host at Bonny Bank is simply the sweetest and most attentive host you will ever meet at a B&B. Upon arriving at her amazing and enchanted century old stone house, you will feel like you’ve instantly entered a fairy tale like setting. This place transcends time and location. As you walk up the pathway to the entrance, Willow, the sweet and gentle Golden Retriever, will greet you and lead you to the entrance as if she has been waiting for you all along. Once inside, Carla will welcome you like a long lost family member finally making it home. The pride of ownership is clearly evident as she describes the features of unique touches this beautiful home built in 1919 boasts. The bedrooms upstairs are deceptively large and bright with many modern touches and recently renovated and modernized bathrooms and ensuite. The ambiance is one of peace and tranquility. The only sounds you will hear will the faint “hoots” of the nearby Owl Sanctuary and then, only when outside enjoying the lush and large grounds and gardens surrounding the main home. Unfortunately, we did not have a lot of time to enjoy her hospitality as we were attending a nearby wedding at Calamus Vineyards, but in the morning, we were greeting by Carla’s smiling face in the kitchen as she prepared an amazing full course breakfast made from her own vegetable garden and locally sourced fruits and grains. Truly a wonderful experience that was cut too short. My wife and I will definitely return soon when down from Ottawa again. This place is a gem. You will not find a more unquiet and charming country home (hidden the city), then Bonny Bank.
