Riverbend Inn & Vineyard

I stayed here for two nights for a work conference. The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with character. It is an older property but does not feel older. There is no mold or mildew smell like some of the other vintage properties in Niagara On The Lake. I have stayed in all the vintage hotels as a comparison and a few others. This is by far the best out of the say 6 other properties that I have stayed. I had the honeymoon suite. It was large, tastefully decorated, clean without any stains (rare for vintage properties). The room had a balcony with the most breathtaking view of the Two Sisters or Peller vineyards. What an incredible sight to walk up to each morning. The fire place made it so cozy in the cold winter month. The bed felt so fresh and comfortable. Quality bedding , robes, slippers, nice toiletries. High quality water in glass bottles and a glass of delicious bubbly at arrival. One of the most comfortable hotel stays that I have stayed in Ontario. I do not normally sleep well at hotel. Here I slept well. I love that you can open a window. I think that helped me sleep so well. It felt like how the Whitehouse guest rooms might feel like. The food was amazing. Breakfast was so delicious both days. The lunch they prepared for our conference was the best conference lunch I have ever had while attending my share of conferences and many at other hotel in NOTL. The lunch menu was simple top quality ingredients which if your a foodie like me, its appreciated. I couldn’t wait for lunch the second day. The staff at the hotel could not have been any better. I would actually say they very easily could be a 5 star hotel. They are missing a mini fridge in the room, an elevator which may be an issue for some people. The staff were quick to grab my luggage and help me up the stairs with it. I had a heavy bag. I seen some of my colleagues rooms. They were also spacious and comfortable. A couple complained of the heat, I too was surprised how toasty it was for a cold day. It was balmy giving it a Chalet feel. Especially with all the snow and cold. I suggested they open the window for sleeping. They did and slept great. It just had that old money feel but with so much warmth and comfort. You just immediately felt comfortable when you walked in the front doors. I have stayed in a couple hotels with the SLH designation. If this place made a couple additions they could easily gain this designation. My daughter was married at one of the other Vintage properties in NOTL. I wish I seen this place. It would be perfect to reserve the hotel for your guests with a wedding right on the property or at the winery across the property.

What a gorgeous place. We recently stayed at Riverbend Inn & Vineyard in Niagara on the lake and were thoroughly impressed . The staff were just so helpful and friendly which I really loved. Our room was spacious and cosy with the most comfortable bed. The views of the vineyard were amazing. We especially loved the quiet mornings having breakfast outside on the patio while looking at the views. Just so relaxing. This was followed by a bike ride on the trails by the hotel. I loved that the hotel provided bikes as I may have missed the opportunity to see the gorgeous town and lake. Definitely a highlight for me. Loved getting the golf buggy over for our wine tour. Jeff does a super job and knows his stuff. It’s a bonus that the wine is great. First time trying ice wine and won’t be the last! This was one of the most relaxing hotels I have stayed in and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
