The old hotel is classically decorated and elegant, with a super good location. It is only a few minutes away from the Niagara Falls Park, and there is a viewing room on the rooftop where you can see the Niagara River and the Falls from afar (the last two pictures). The first floor provides free coffee, hot water and lemonade all day long, as well as green tea and cocoa bags. The room is clean and comfortable. The most important thing is that every front desk clerk is very good, warm and enthusiastic. What is particularly touching is that I suddenly had a stomachache in the room before checking out that morning. The front desk helped call an ambulance to send me to the hospital and told me not to worry about the things in the room. After the treatment, it was already 5:30 in the afternoon. I returned to the room, packed my things and went down to check out. I asked how much money I had to pay for checking out late. The front desk manager said that I didn’t need to pay any extra money, and that I was fine was the most important thing! I was so moved to hear such words. Such a humane and warm hotel deserves a super five-star rating!

The hotel's picture shows a highrise, but the hotel itself only takes fl 1-6. If you do not get the 6th floor, you will either get the view of the town or the back side of the quality inn bldg. You can use the elevator to the 18th fl and walk 1 fl up to have a birdeye view of the falls. Breakfast has to be preordered.

At first glance, it's nice. Upon entering in evening, no one was at the desk, so I called the hotel. A girl on break got up from where she was sitting, but before she answered phone, I told I was the caller. At that point another woman appeared, checking us in with no friendliness. (Following morning, a friendly front-desk person greeted me.) Free breakfast self serve--fairly good selection of okay food. Coffee in small main lobby free and good. However, coffee cups in room had coffee rings in them, and coffee maker looked like it could use a cleaning. The room itself could use sprucing up/needs deep cleaning & updating--walls dirty, marked, and chipped. Seat at desk beaten up.

We stayed two nights as a couple, May 2025. Even as we checked in, we sensed a distinct lack of warmth at the front office. The attitude was rather matter-of-fact, with all the key hotel information relayed in rapid fire. We checked about room upgrades, but they refused to consider it as our booking was done through a popular third-party hotel booking site. Strange. Our room was nice & clean, but the ceilings looked industrial, with large exposed pipes for the sprinkler system, as well as for the HVAC. Not classy industrial decor, but plain shabby industrial. The bathroom flooring was smooth, with no attempt to render it non-skid. We had to exercise a lot of caution to prevent any mishap. While a tea/coffee machine was provided in the room, no refills were available for the dairy creamer! They claimed that they had run out of it, and are awaiting stocks. This is really poor management of what should be considered an essential commodity, and they were quite unapologetic about it. My wife needed a couple of make-up remover wipes, which also they claimed to have run out of. Miraculously, these were found after a couple of hours when we complained about the dairy creamer! The free breakfast was a very sad offering, with slow & sloppy refilling of items. Remnants of scrambled eggs, defrosted omelettes which were inside the microwave for an eternity, and oranges looking well past their prime, with just one surly staffer in attendance, all of which seem symbolic of the hotel itself. Conclusion: will never visit again, and will not recommend to anyone either.

Don't go by the pictures they're not correct. This place is old and the location is in a very shady area. The room is reserved showed a tub the wife loves a tub. I paid another $60 for early check in also. Get to the room it was not what was i booked and very small. Carpet had stains, no tub the only good thing is the AC worked. We were told we could upgrade to get a room with a tub for triple the amount. I would not recommend this place look some where else

We had recently spent a night at the Giacomo hotel. This is a classic landmark building in Niagara Falls and is visible from many corners. Our room was located on the second floor. It’s spacious, came with the usual amenities. We liked the fact that the room has high ceiling, a writing desk and a chaise lounge. The shower room was old style (in fact the overall decor was dated), generous in terms of space, high ceiling and big windows. The location was absolutely convenient: we walked to the Goat Island from Giacomo and explored the Niagara Falls State Park on foot. It is in a very walkable spot. Lots of restaurants and takeaways in the area. There is a lounge on the 19th floor of Giacomo which offers an all round view of the area. Breakfast was of an average quality. Staff were friendly and helpful: they helped arranged a secure parking space for us as well as storage of our bags when we went on the tour. The property itself is in need of some tender loving care, for example the handle of the shower was loose and needed some tightening. Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the Giacomo.

A wonderful boutique style hotel in Niagara. The rooms were well appointed & very comfortable beds. There was an excellent complementary breakfast provided as well. The bartender Felix was very helpful & kept the bar open long after his usual time as we arrive very late after the train journey from NYC. All the staff were helpful & cheery. The view from the rooftop lounge was stunning, don’t forget to visit here but use the elevator on the LHS!

Everything about this wonderful hotel is above and beyond! What a gem....the room, the bed, the pillows, the bathroom and the amenities provided in the bathroom, the staff (especially the staff), the bar and the barman....we were genuinely sorry that we didn't book for a longer stay.
