Golden Bean Hotel

We loved our stay here. As we were checking in, we were given a glass of mango juice (which was very much appreciated after being in the sun). We stayed in the executive suite and had a lovely stay. Spacious room, great amenities, lovely bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was lovely in the morning: a good selection of English/Ghanaian food. Pool area was quiet and well-maintained. The hotel is also in a great location.

Golden View Hotel offers a cozy and comfortable stay with modern, well-maintained rooms. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring all needs are promptly addressed. Its location is convenient, close to local attractions, making it perfect for exploring the area. Overall, the hotel provides excellent value for a relaxing and enjoyable visit.

I spent 2 nights in this hotel as part of a business trip. The staff were really great and helpful, the breakfast was at an acceptable level and the internet was good. The hotel restaurant offered a variety of dishes and the food was fine. The room was not that great though, despite the beautiful surroundings, the room did not have much of a view, but that might have been only in my room and the bed lamp was not working properly. None of these were major issues (not during a business trip when you just want to crash after a long day) and I left the hotel with good memories.

On the 16th of December, 2023, we had an event at the Kumasi branch, which they intentionally turned off our electric supply. We initially booked one of their space (Tetteh Quarshie), through Maame Ama, a manager, which was later relayed to me a day before the event by Philomina, an employee, that since the head count was not enough, we have to pay 7,000 gh extra. Philomina then showcased a new place which was very small to turn and suggested that we take that event room. She then expressed to me that the place we booked has an even in the morning which not even permit us to get the place in time if they decide to give that place to us. I told her it will be fine, we will take the initial venue. I told her that the money she's talking about news to me, because it's my first time hearing about it, and will get back to her. I tried getting in touch with the person who led us and the one who signed our contract but I couldn't get through till the next morning (the day of the event). Golden Bean gave us horrible headache which almost canceled our event if we do not come up with the last minute money request. We finally made a payment after hours of back and forth, which was around 6pm, the time of the event. We were shoved around by some of the employees after the payment, because they had to reset up. We finally finished setting up around 8pm, began with the event. At 10:17pm, my DJ was ushered to turn off the music without them talking to me who signed the contract with them. Then a few seconds later, our event hall coincidentally loses power, after the manager on duty ordered an employee to turn off our music. It is not rumored by some of the employees that my group has been forcefully kicked out of Golden Bean Hotel, through a family member who doesn't know anyone from the party group. I questioned him about it and he told me some of the people that were serving at my event were talking about at the church premises the Sunday after the event.
