Wir wurden mit einem kühlen Tuch und einem Hibiskusdrink freundlich empfangen. Es werden Zimmer in feststehenden Häusern und Zellen angeboten. Wir hatten eine Art Doppelhaushälfte, mit einem Standklimagerät, Safe und Taschenlampe, da aufgrund der offenen Anlage auf Wildtiere hingewiesen wird. Alles war sauber mit relativ einfachem Stansard. Der Pool ist sehr schön und nach langer Fahrt sehr erfrischend, leider gibt es nicht immer für alle Gäste eine Sonnenliege. WLAN ist ausschließlich im Restaurantbereich verfügbar. Das Restaurant wirkt unter dem hohen Dach etwas düster, das Abendessen in Buffetform war gut, ebenfalls das Frühstück.

By fasr and wide the best choice when staying in Natron. The restaurant is really cozy. The staff is very fiendly although we lost a deck chair on our first night which did not get mended but that is a small thing. The tents are comfortable and the views cannot be beaten. The pool has volcano view, what more can you ask for!

We had amazing stay in one of the huts in Africa Safari Lodge. It is in the middle of nowhere so don't expect high end luxury but it's clean, spacious, beautifully located, with very friendly staff. If you are lucky zebras might come at night and wander around your hut.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans ce lodge situé aux abords du lac Natron. Les paysages sont tout simplement magnifiques, sauvages et uniques, parfaits pour les amoureux de la nature. Le lodge propose un hébergement abordable, bien équipé, une très bonne restauration, et avec une piscine très agréable pour se rafraîchir après une journée d’exploration. De nombreuses excursions sont possibles depuis le lodge : cascades, sources d’eau chaude et le spectaculaire Ol Doinyo Lengai juste à côté. C’est aussi une base parfaite pour explorer le nord de la Tanzanie. Les amateurs d’ornithologie seront comblés, c’est un véritable paradis pour observer les oiseaux, spécialement les flamants roses qui viennent en masse de septembre jusqu’à la fin de l’année durant leur migration. Une excellente adresse pour découvrir cette région exceptionnelle et moins connue du Nord Tanzanie.

Zwischen Tarangire Nationalpark und Serengeti Nationalpark sind wir 2 Nächte am Natronsee gewesen. Die Lodge liegt toll am See, mit Blick nach Kenia und direkt am Fuße des OL donyo Lengai, des Berg Gottes - einem aktiven Vulkan. Wir konnten mit einem am Ort lebenden Maasai eine Morgenwanderung zum See machen, bekannt für seine vielen Flamingos. Und später am Nachmittag dann zu den Ngare Sero Wasserfällen, erreichbar nur durch mehrfaches Durchqueren des Flusses bis zur Hüfte im Wasser. Tolles und sehr erfrischendes Erlebnis und eine absolute Empfehlung! Wer mag, kann gegen Mitternacht eine geführte Besteigung des Vulkans machen, ca. 6h anspruchsvolle Wanderung müssen allerdings eingeplant werden. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

We had a wonderful time at Africa Safari Lake Natron Camping. The landscape here is beautiful. We were able to exit our tent and have a fantastic view of the lake. We stayed at a number of camps and lodges and this was by far the best food we had. The staff is wonderful (they even have Maasai warriors for safety from animals!). Special call out to Abby. She made sure we were well taken care of and from early in the morning to closing up at night she was always smiling and making us laugh.

A very nice place to visit during the safari, the room and food were very nice! The pool it’s a very nice way to relax after the safari or energize before your day starts! The weather was warm and they provided a/c which was also a nice touch! A very nice stay!

Für Africaliebhaber ein highlight….eine Lodge im „Nichts und Nirgendwo“ zu bauen ist schon Wahnsinn. Alleine der Weg dahin lohnt sich….man fragt sich, wann kommt der Bretterzaun? Wer das versteht, wird nicht über Krabbeltiere, Hitze, oder sonst was meckern, sondern einfach nur die Natur genießen. Die Giraffen laufen einem quasi über die Füße. Gekko und Eidechsen gehen mit dir schlafen und der Massai Lazarus passt in der Nacht auf dich auf. Der Flamingo Walk ist entspannender als 100 yogastunden , und das Personal liest dir jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab!!! Tip von uns ….länger bleiben und geniessen
