Muri Beachcomber

Our stay at Muri Beachcomber was great! We arrived early in the morning on the overnight flight and really appreciated the smooth airport transfer and cool guest lounge to relax in while we waited our accommodation being ready. Our hosts (Shelley and Simon) welcomed us from the second we arrived and were available to answer questions or sort any issues quickly during our 6 night stay. All the staff were obliging and lovely. Our bungalow was perfectly positioned right in front of the beach. The resort was very clean and our bungalow was tidy and we'll equipped. The pool is relaxing and grounds are nicely maintained. Muri Beachcomber provides push bikes, snorkelling gear, SUPs and kayaks which is great. They also provide personal insect repellent but we really didn't need it during our stay. Location wise, Muri Beachcomber is perfectly situated right next door to the Muri night markets, Sailing Club restaurant and many other dining options. Make sure to try the Saigon Shack Rarotonga for a delicious Vietnamese meal. Snorkelling is great and there are 2 islands to kayak, SUP or walk/swim to which is great fun. Hiring a scooter or car is pretty much essential for exploring beautiful Rarotonga - Island Car and Scooter hire is just across the road, best to organise this before you arrive. Avarua is only 5 mins drive away or you can grab the bus. We love that Rarotonga has chickens, dogs and cats wandering around as respected members of the community - very quirky and cute. The animals are well looked after too and the caring relationship between people and animals is a reflection of how relaxed and kind the community is. Definitely recommend Muri Beachcomber as a great place to stay when holidaying at Rarotonga.

Our first time staying in Muri beach as previous visits we have hired villas with extended family else where on the island. central to all things in Muri. Good water sport options. night food market right next door. car and scooter hire across the road. TEM store has a good supply of beverages😉. Excellent self contained accommodation. Will be staying here again in the future.

My friend and I stayed at this amazing resort for the first time. It was just so beautiful overlooking the beach with views that took our breath away! This resort is well appointed with everything provided, staff bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. We were in one of the sea view units which we chose because of the quietness of the area, we enjoyed waking up to sound of the waves and the occasional roster crowing! We will definitely return next year.
