Simple but large and very comfortable and super quiet apartment on the edge of Muri Lagoon (swimmable from the jetty when the current is not strong and there is a swimming pool and kayaks). We have stayed at those apartments 8 times in the last 25 years. We love the feel of the place and we hope they will not change: they are not luxurious but they are very clean, bright and very well appointed with a great vibe. Desiree the insite manager is fantastic and keep the place in great shape and make sure the guests have what they need. We stayed 9 nights but could have stayed much longer. We will be back of course and we hope it will stay the same!

We stayed here as a couple for nine days and nights in August 2024 and loved it. It is about 20 minutes walk in to Muri where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. You may want to have your own transport if you stay here, although the bus stop is only five minutes walk and buses every half hour. We had bicycles for the entire time and rode everywhere on the island, the only downside being that we needed to be off the road before dark, around 1815 in August. Desiree was a fabulous host and we would definitely stay here again on a return visit.. Andrew and Alice Australia

Great accommodation and beautiful views over the lagoon to the 3 small islands. Close to town, close to Muri Beach and all the activities. Clean, well maintained Studio apartment. But the biggest plus is Desiree and her staff. No matter what we needed, Desiree had an answer or a solution and always offered to help or sort things for us!

Fantastic site right on the lagoon. Unimpeded lagoon/island views from all units. Private jetty for fishing and swimming. Nice pool too. Great spot for a family break, away from the big resorts. Lovely friendly helpful staff.

Be careful when booking of you need to cancel .. they take your money straight away but if the currency rate changes you will be out of pocket even though they state no cancellation fee Be aware when booking

Loved our stay at Avana Waterfront Apartments. Large open plan room with kitchen & bathroom with deck over looking the jetty. Had everything we needed, bed was so comfy & the bread & jams/butter were a lovely surprise for breakfast. The place is abit out of Muri town but we had scooters so was easy to find & get around. The pool was great to get in after a kayak to the motu opposite & the fish feeding was amazing off the jetty. Would definitely go back on our next trip

The staff was awesome, location was good. Gardens and pool were awesome. But there was cupboard’s falling apart, The wardrobe had a real bad smell so I wouldn’t hang my clothes. Very hard to get out of the driveway on to the main road. We never got any replenishment (milk, coffee, tea,suger) Room was only serviced every 3-4 days.

We absolutely loved our stay at avana waterfront! Desiree could not have been more lovely and made us feel so at home. She was so accommodating letting us arrive early, and stay right up until we had to leave for the airport - so kind and so appreciated! Our portacot was set up for us when we got there and bits and pieces in the fridge to start us off. The apartments are in an amazing location right on the water and the jetty to watch and feed fish. Lovely swimming right outside your apartment door! A nice 20 min walk into muri or a short drive. We will be back to stay again. Thankyou for everything!

A tranquil setting yet close to all shops n amenities. Families n singles well catered for. Angelyn and Beth are friendly and super helpful. Nothing is too much for these professionals. The showers are fantastic, bed is comfortable and the air conditioning will have you shivering. Fresh fruit always available. Free use of kayaks, snorkels, reef shoes and life jackets. Can't recommend highly enough. Meitaki maata. Hope to return soon
