Hot Tub Experience: Many reviewers enjoyed the private hot tubs, describing them as pre-heated and well-maintained. The setting allowed for stargazing and relaxation, though privacy concerns were occasionally noted due to neighboring chalets.

Had a lovely night spent in one of the garden rooms. Room clean and a great shower. Spent the night outside with the chimnea. Fantastic value for money

Lovely room, poor night's sleep We were so excited to stay here on our honeymoon night and forked out for a room with a hot tub to make it extra special. We have an 8 month old who was getting looked after by his grandparents so we were very excited for one unbroken night's sleep. However at 4:30am we were awoken by a group of people in the next room having a party. We'd purposely booked this venue as it promised "gorgeous beds for the ultimate night's sleep" but the party continued on with no sign of a member of staff stopping it. At 5am we called the duty manager who said the party was probably from the wedding, implying that they were expecting it. It was all very disappointing. By 5:30am the noise had died down but we were worked up by this point so struggled to get back to sleep. It was a real shame as the cabin was lovely and we had had a nice meal at the joiners arms the night before. But coming away unrested after paying so much made us wish we'd chosen somewhere else to stay.

The best stay We stayed for a friends wedding, the Garden Rooms are absolutely stunning and were a stones throw from the wedding venue (Newton Hall). The beds were so comfy, the grounds were immaculate and it was a short walk down to the most gorgeous beach! Breakfast was also delicious, we will be back!

When we arrived the complimentary water bottles had been opened and one was 1/4 empty. The area around the hot tub had the previous guests wine cork and rubbish left on the floor . The hot tub lid was obviously broken and the hot tub was filled to the brim so it overflowed everywhere and our slippers were soaked ! But most annoying is the fact that either due to this or the kid not being closed it was not hot at all rather than just warm ! I couldn’t sit in it and this was the sole purpose of our reason to stay ! The staff were lovely though and the bed comfy, with a bit of TLC I am sure they could be lovely again but our room was just all a bit tired ! And for a much needed break very disappointing!

Amazing place but didnt live up to its expectation Our overall stay was wonderful. Upon check in a holding fee was taken except this was actually taken from my account immediately. We were not given a key to our lodge and had to ask for one. No directions were given and it took us ages to find our lodge, so long we nearly missed our reservation in the joiners arms. The joiners arms is advertised as been at the bottom of the garden. Again no directions so we had to find it by sat nav which took us via the main road. This isnt ideal if you are staying in the caravans with children. There may be an alternative route but the place is badly sign posted. When we arrived we couldn't find our way into the main hall to check in and again had to go via the main road, we did find the side entrance back after we checked in. Upon check in we were asked if we wanted to book for breakfast. I explained we already had a table in the joiners arms. I asked if there were other options and was told no. When we eventually got to our lodge the information booklet did say we had the option of having breakfast delivered to our room. We decided to change and it was lovely to eat our breakfast outside the lodge. I booked the turn down service for our return from the joiners arms and this was amazing. The chocolate dipped Strawberries were beautiful. We also struggled to find the beach which this venue advertises beach wedding, again using good old google maps we found our way to the beach at the ship inn.

Just meh. Style over substance. Does the trick as somewhere to stay but not sure on the quality of the buildings …. Damp and mould creeping everywhere, you can even feel the soggy rotting floor underfoot in the room. Definitely not worth the money. Targeting those who need somewhere to stay for a wedding. Outside area was strewn with packaging and empty cans. Staff were, however, extremely helpful and lovely!

If you are someone who wants to walk around a busy village, here may not be the best place for you however many places like alnwick centre are only at 20 minute drive. the rest of the property as immaculate as well as the service we experienced.
