The hotel is close to restaurants and several beaches. Near the train station but we didn't hear the trains. The hotel is above Aldi which was very useful. There is not a car park but you can park at Asda. We pre-paid with Evology parking which was cheaper by £3.50 for every 24 hours compared to car parking signage company. Hotel gave us this information. Hotel staff were very helpful, gave us a lot of information. Made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at the OYO Newquay Beach Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I was happy to have been upgraded from a single to a double bed accommodation due to high occupancy. The location is good as it's near the railway station (approx 5 mins) and 2 mins from the sea. I enjoyed the food at the elegant restaurant and found it a friendly service.

Great location and nice sea view right in the centre of town , short walk to the beach and shops , pubs etc . Stayed for one night , hotel was clean and got it for a great price , only thing we didn’t get a breakfast and was an extra £20 but Wetherspoons is just up the road for a breakfast . Would recommend this hotel if you want a cheap stay in Newquay 👍

Staff made you feel welcome from start. Used the pre paid parking on site, well worth it. The room was lovely and had views front and to the rear to see the sea and beach. The outside terrace beer garden was excellent. The breakfast was good. Full range of continental and cooked items i.e full English or pancakes etc. Good range of beers etc.

Reviewing for the restaurant, I haven't stayed at the hotel but if it is anything like their food and service, then top drawer. Visited around a dozen times for their very unique Sunday roasts. Massive platter filled with your choice of roast meat and a massive helping of vegetables, roast spuds etc. Way too much for two sharing, really! If you are wanting a desert then good luck, I'm stuffed!

Room was very clean but staircase is very steep without a handrail., (it is a very old pub/cottage).
The pain au chocolate was out of date. We did take this back to the lady behind the bar but it was not replaced.
The room was not en-suite but there was a lovely large toilet/bathroom opposite the bedroom which we were told was for our private use.
Shower gels, body lotions were provided which was nice.
To sum up, I think it should be clear that they don't do a full english breakfast, & that it may be unsuitable for people with difficulty climbing stairs.

On arrival we were given our room key to which I was hoping to find a lovely harbour view which we booked. Unfortunately I couldn’t see the harbour from my window which was very disappointing so we had to pay for an upgrade for a sea view. The view i have to say was stunning, but the room was needing some TLC. For the price we paid per night the room was unacceptable, being we paid another £60 to upgrade. Where to start… The fridge didn’t work and when i told reception they just said it’s a temperature of a cool box NOT a fridge. (Then don’t say fridge on the web site). Our milk went off. They only provide small sachets of long life milk which I’m not a fan off. The water didn’t come out of the dated shower head properly and being it’s an over the bath shower it was so slippery. The walls were grubby, and the loo roll holder was broken. Severe lack of communication with us ie… no explaining about the bar that’s closes at 5pm and need to order from the restaurant. No telling us about where the spa was or opening times of the restaurant. No telling us about fire exits. The breakfast was ok but no ham or cheese on the continental selection like advertised on their webpage and also on the menu. Lovely view for an expensive price but definitely NOT what i call four star hotel.

Very Good
The staff were lovely, very friendly, helpful and always greeted you with a hello and a smile. The room was ok but a little tired, there were slits in the flooring in the bathroom and the bath had chips in it. The sink cupboard doors were cracked and split. However this did not detract to much form what a was a lovely weekend. The pool was clean and warm and an added attraction especially on the Sunday when the weather was bad. The meal in the 60's bistro was ok and again the staff welcoming and friendly.

GGuest UserWe stayed in Newquay last week and visited the Godolphin on a number of occasions for food and drink. The bar staff and locals were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was tasty and along with the drinks, good value for money. When we asked for a Sri Lankan curry that had been on the specials board the night before and had smelt really good, “Badger” the chef happened to overhear us and went and made it especially for us even though it was his night off. It certainly didn’t disappoint and was one of the best curries I’ve ever had, far better than many of the Indian restaurants I’ve eaten in. Can’t speak for the accommodation as we didn’t stay there, but a good place to eat and drink.

We went on a coach trip and stayed at this hotel. The location was 2 mins walk to the front and had amazing views of Newquay and close to shops. There was also a zoo nearby . Along the front, there are different beaches to enjoy. As for the hotel, our room was nice and clean but was overlooked on either side, so we couldn't keep curtains open . There was entertainment every night, which included bingo, quizzes, and live acts. The staff was nice and friendly. The food was okay, but it could have been better as it was sometimes basic. It was a good hotel for what we needed it for as we spent most of the time travelling to different places, including Lands End, St Ives, Falmouth, and Truro, which were worth a visit. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
