I stayed in a sea view room with a great view from the window. The hotel is in a good location, with many attractions nearby and close to the beach. But you have to drive yourself, otherwise you can't go anywhere. The staff is very friendly, but sometimes they forget to clean. The hotel said that you can hang a do not disturb sign when you don't need to clean. But in fact, they won't come to clean unless you hang a please clean sign. In addition, although breakfast is included, it is only cold (Continental). Hot breakfast costs an additional 6 pounds per person per day.

Tennis court being used as a staff car park, so you cant play. Outdoor pool closing early on a beautiful afternoon because the lifeguard has just decided to go home, with no explanation given, and no apology. Appalling rudeness from a young member of staff when we complained. Being told that we couldnt eat in the restaurant because there are five of us, even though we only want a table for four (our youngest sits on someone’s lap) and there were plenty of empty tables for four. Items being missed off food orders, and then being told that the kitchen was closed. Being kept waiting while employees chatted amongst themselves. People on reception giving out info that was just plain wrong. Asking repeatedly for a slightly early check in because we arrived early, and being repeatedly assured the hotel ‘would do its best’, only to eventually be left into our room an hour past the worst case check in time of 4pm. It was all pretty bad throughout, from the first day to the last. Took some of this up with a senior manager on the first day, who did nothing at all to follow up. Hotel insists upon payment for rooms in advance, and for guests to pay for everything as they go along. Seems very clear why now. Shame. I remember it being pretty special a few years back. Now feels very shabby and second rate. Was pleased to leave, and wouldnt go again under any circumstances. Writing to save others from a similar experience.

I visited Bedruthan for a solo getaway and it truly exceeded my expectations. The views are absolutely breathtaking. I could’ve spent hours just admiring the coastline. As a huge foodie, the highlight for me was the food. The restaurant Ogo was outstanding — compliments to the chef for such a beautifully crafted menu. I also want to thank the gentleman who looked after me (I didn’t catch his name), especially for recommending a delicious rosé when I couldn’t decide. His service and knowledge made the evening even more special. Bedruthan has something for everyone, whether you’re after a romantic escape, family break, or some solo relaxation like I was. I’ll definitely be back!

I so wanted to write a glowing review however the issues spoiled my experience. Positives - breakfast and bar staff, reception staff in the Scarlet. All super welcoming and helpful. Thank you! Amazing views, gardens. Great food, beach access, terrace and indoor spa facilities. Negatives - Filled in two on line forms prior to departure, on arrival the reception person asked the same questions I’d written the day before. Room - I experienced a on line booking mix up, I wanted the room with a view, asked in email, no response. I payed in full prior to arrival. I wasn’t offered an upgrade unlike another reviewer who stayed in the same month. The non view room was very noisy and warm. We had to open the windows and were above the car charging points. Users conversations, children crying heard from morning and night. On Thursday the fab metal fan we were using was exchanged, while we were out, for a less effective fan. No one cared to discuss with us. This affected our sleep on Thursday. It could have waited one more day until we left. Outdoor Sensory Spa - I was unable to access until Wednesday as no one was on the gate until then, the rigid timings from 10 to 4 didn’t work for us. You should to advertise the timings restrictions. The Nordic spa, I couldn’t access as two staff were standing at the top of the steps. Neither offered a greeting or offered information on what to do so I went to the pool on the left, tipped the rainwater off the sunbed and cleaned it with my own towel. Staff presented as it was their area and I felt I was disturbing them. Indoor spa - Followed the please shower notices, on Wednesday the second shower had no body wash, used shampoo as body wash. On Monday sat on the decking terrace with other guests, the two access doors were then locked, twice, from the inside forcing all of us to walk around back to the spa reception. Two plastic glasses sat for two days under a sunbed. I popped into the Scarlet and experienced a different vibe. Staff smiled, offered help, I was allowed to look around and everything was open in the Spa area. I wished I had stayed at the Scarlet instead.

Genuinely a gem of a place, we brought our children and they loved this hotel. from the crafting room, the cinema, the fully featured soft play room. it was incredible for them. For the adults, the drinks selection was fantastic, the food was THE BEST food I've ever had in any hotel and I've stayed in some luxurious places around the world. WIFI was slow, but the views were immaculate... we will be going back to the Bedruthan, i have no doubt.

Only stayed one night for my fiancés birthday. We were welcomed by a friendly reception team. We had booked a non sea view room, however were offered a reasonable priced up grade to a sea view room when we arrived, with views over Morgan Porth, which we took and was well worth it, slept with the sliding doors open to hear the sea. Dinner was at the Ogo restaurant, which was incredible, all local produce the only choice you had to make was what local wine to drink (although, recommendations were offered), and the main from 3 options, which for me was great, I hate too many options. The restaurant staff were knowledgeable about the dishes. Had breakfast in our room, again totally delicious, the only restriction was that none of the freshly cooked option were available like eggs bacon etc., but you have until 10:30 to go down and eat at the breakfast buffet. After checking out we spent most of the day at the spa and pool side. Peaceful, tranquil and relaxing, . Again helpful staff. All in all a wonderful nourishing and relaxing stay, well worth it. My only criticism would be the bar service seemed a bit ‘clunky’. I wasn’t really sure if I was supposed to be at the bar or not. But once we got our drinks the bar area and terrace was ideal.

My daughter and children with myself have just had a second fab holiday at bedruthan. The food is to die for, staff friendly, and facilities perfect. A clean towel with every swim. The views amazing. No negatives at all. Oh and good value if you use all the facilities.
