Walking in they were so nice to us anything we needed great room big for a family the pool was so nice and breakfast was great I will definitely come again abd the price was great thanks

Great location, convenient to restaurants, gas stations and general shopping. Pool was very good. Breakfast buffet was busy but had plenty of food. Bathrooms could use some updating but otherwise they were good. Highly recommend this place, especially if you have a family.

When walking in upon arrival the front desk receptionist Amy was so friendly and welcoming. She made sure everything was taken care of and we were informed of all amenities the hotel had to offer. If every person took their job as prideful as her I would write more reviews. Hotel room was clean, the free breakfast was filling, and if in the area I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at many Choice properties throughout the years and had started to reconsider our brand loyalty to the chain until we stayed at the Comfort Suites Airport in Newport News. Not only is the property clean, and well maintained but, they also have a secret weapon at the front desk in Ms. Amy. The front desk clerk, Ms. Amy, is indescribable. What can I say about Ms. Amy at the front desk? From the moment we walked into the hotel and throughout our entire stay Ms. Amy made us feel like family. This property is nothing without her and she needs to be compensated accordingly. We laughed and cried together, and above all, Ms. Amy displayed the true meaning of the word Hospitality. I can't say enough about Ms. Amy. She is the reason we extended our stay for an extra night. Any further stays in the area will be at this Choice property due to Miss Amy.

We stayed here on our multiple days trip with family for our trip to VA beach and Williamsburg, this location is in middle of both. Its a smoke free and very clean property with very friendly and helpfull staff, not at all understaff, you would always find someone to help you quickly. Rooms are pretty specious, we have had suits with sofa and workspace which is rare to find, Breakfast served was pretty extensive and pool was a hit :-) Nearby lot of resturants, no need to wait for hours in doordash hour long deliveriy, and shopping centers are near by too. what more do you Ask?

We accidently chose this hotel on a dreary night when our family was highly irritable during our travels. Could we make it back to Alexandria, Virginia from the Buckroe Beach/Virginia Beach visit nonstop? The family debate was a resounding NO! Pull over! Pull over! This was the vote! Yet, I longed for the comforts of home. I wanted to get home so I could rest, have breakfast in the morning and enjoy a hot cup of coffee while I worked on my laptop for an hour answering emails. Being out voted, we pulled into the Comfort Suites at Newport News Airport. I've stayed at Choice Hotels - Comfort Suites before. And TripAdvisor has always been a great resource to help us find the best places to stay, and the best deals hands down. But this wasn't just any Comfort Suites Hotel. From the moment we were directed there from TripAdvisor and checked in, we noticed the friendliest atmosphere, the warmth, and professionalism from the staff. Mrs Amy, the front desk person made us feel like we were staying with a family member, and not actually at a hotel. It was a very pleasant overnight stay, with us booking two rooms that night. The story doesn't end there. Because we felt so much sincerity about us genuinely enjoying our stay, when the time came for us to return to the area, we AGAIN chose this same Comfort Suites Newport News Airport hotel. Every staff member, from our first and continuing contact with Mrs. Amy (we learned later was a Manager), to Jay, Johnny and all the other staff has made us feel welcomed. You might think it unusual for someone to write a review recommending your family to try out a hotel. If do, then PAUSE, and ask yourself this. When was the last time you felt appreciated, or someone was happy to see you? When was the last time someone provided you service with a genuine smile? If you can appreciate these things, then you will understand why we return to this hotel when visiting the area. The answer is simple. Were not staying at a hotel. It's feels like we're staying with family.
