The room was ok, but some of the area was not really clean. Breakfast included with traditional English breakfast. Overall was alright.

I've been staying at this hotel, almost weekly for the last 5 years. The staff often go above and beyond, the rooms may be basic as with all Travelodge hotels but they're clean and well maintained. The food is good and there's a vending machine in reception for midnight snacks. Easy parking is available, although this os off site at a local car park that charges £8.90 per day. I would also like to extend a special thanks to Chrissy in reception. She's polite, friendly, always has has a smile, and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome, thank you!!

Better than expected for travelodge, comfortable room and welcoming staff, would go there again, so handy for town, bus station, restaurants and Strings Bar and Venue

I stay here for business on a regular basis. The hotel is always clean and comfy, but the best thing about it is the staff - Chrissy in particular is an absolute angel. She is extremely helpful and friendly, her service always comes with a smile and it’s sure to brighten up your day. Give her a raise!

What a great stay we had, planned a night out in Newport for my Birthday and stayed here because it was cheaper than paying a taxi home, the room was clean and the bed was very comfy and the temperature of the room was perfect, the staff were very good especially Doreen who checked us in, serverd us on the bar then she was also serving us Breakfast, always chatty and a credit to travelodge never change Doreen you are amazing 👏

Very well situated just a couple of minutes walk from the Hight Street, yet very quiet. The room was spacious, clean and inviting, and the bed was really comfy. Well laid-out bathroom - no frills, but very adequate with a nice shower. Highlight of the stay was the attentive service of Doreen at breakfast - what a lovely lady! (And the breakfast was good too!)

We were given a warm welcome by Chrissie, who couldn't do enough to help us throughout our stay, and our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I had rung in advance to ask them to assign us the best room for us based on us taking our dogs and we were located on the ground floor (so no scary lifts!) and at the end of a corridor, so they weren't disturbed by people walking past our room, which was perfect. Special mention for Doreen who went out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and to make a fuss of the dogs!
