Hallmark Resort - Newport

Rooms was nice and clean. Bed left something to be desired and expected nicer bedding. Staff was great and Georgies was awesome.

Great views - Easy parking - loved the salt water taffy and snacks. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was wonderful. Nice clean Ice machine and soda area.

We were happy to get the discounted rate keeping our cost including taxes to just over $300/night, above our budget but something we felt we could and should splurge on this one time. When I stayed at the Hallmark at the past, I remembered how well every aspect of our stay was. The rooms were spacious. The view was spectacular. The front desk staff was accommodating at check in and with any further inquiries we might have had. You know, I wish I could say that our recent stay lived up to ANY of our expectations. At check in, there was ONE clerk. ONE. So we waited. Eventually another clerk showed up and jumped on the calls that the ONE clerk couldn't handle while processing the guests standing before him. I inquired about a possible upgrade when the ONE clerk attended to us, but was told no, nothing is available. And he announced, at the discounted rate we had he couldn't give us an upgrade even if one was available. The $300/nt room was about one quarter the size of the rooms we expected. We had to call the front desk for a second luggage stand and were asked, "Isn't there one in the room?" Were we both supposed to use that one? The room was so small we really had a time figuring out where we could put it. Thank you for providing instructions for using the Keurig. There is a specific sequence of steps to get it to produce a cup of coffee. I wish you could have done the same for the fireplace. Since there were no instructions, we assumed, as was the case the last time we stayed, that it was non-functioning and so did not use it. But the crowning glory of our dashed expectations was the view. How, you might ask? Yes, there was beach and greenery. But the spectacularly commanding view, directly above the dogs doing their business area and their owners picking it up and whatever, was absolutely disgusting. Hallmark Resort is consistently my destination when it comes to staying on the Central Oregon Coast. When traveling with friends, my favorite room is the loft. Georgie’s Restaurant provides wonderful cuisine at a realistic price point. Front desk resort staff are always so welcoming!

We like this place because they cater to handicapped people like my wife. They have rooms that are larger to accommodate her small scooter. We have been here many times and love having access to the restaurant next door that delivers right to your room (Georgie's). They have great food and a good selection. They provide coffee and water in the lobby and also in your room. The only thing it lacks is an oven and range for cooking, but it does have a microwave and a small fridge.

This is amazing hotel. Ocean view, close to the beach, and large room with 2 TVs and kitchenette. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, silverware, dishwasher, fridge, and microwave. The jetted tub is the best because it can accommodate 2 people. Comfortable king bed. Double sinks and vanities. The balcony was clean with like new patio furniture. My only complaint is that there is no AC. With outside being 65-75 degrees, the room was 75-80. We needed to leave the sliding door open all night to keep the room cool. For the price of the room, I would expect AC.
