This hotel is fabulous. Great location,brilliant staff. Excellent food. Rooms are beautiful. We had a 2 night stay here we travelled up from wexford. Definitely worth a visit. Great experience. Well done to all the staff at the inn in dromoland.

We booked a party at The Play Inn for a class party of 24 and dealt with Eilish and Amy on the day, both of whom were so accommodating, and fantastic to deal with and so helpful on the day. The Play Inn has ample parking. The quality of kids food and party bags is great, and lots of space for the kids to play and have fun. Thank you Eilis and Amy for making our kids party very memorable, no ask was too much. We really appreciated it. I would happily recommend The Play Inn for a group kids party.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at this Inn situated next door to Dromoland Castle and only 20 minutes from the airport. It was clean, the rooms are updated and the breakfast spread is plentiful. All staff were friendly and professional. It is worth a note that our room here had the best shower that I experienced in Ireland. We definitely will be back the next time we are in the area.

When you get over the long walk to your room, the room mightn’t blow you away...yet it’s adequate for what it is. As regards the ‘walk’, the layout of the hotel is unusual, not least of all where the elevators are located. Breakfast buffet was middle of the road. Overall, for the price paid, I’m struggling to say it was good value.

The Play Inn We had my sons birthday at the Play Inn and it was brilliant! The staff Eilis and Rebecca were fabulous ! Eilis could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Eilis made the experience brilliant by being so intentive & helpful! Eilis & Rebecca were so kind to all the kids and they were so delighted with the goodie bags leaving! Thank you Eilis & Rebecca we will be back again!

Hi Emily / Grace Just a quick note to say thank you for everything and could you please send on our gratitude to all the staff that looked after us so well during our stay. Our golf society stayed for 2 nights, during our stay we had 2 3 course meals in the restaurant and on both nights the food was exceptional and the buffet style breakfast was very well laid out,our group was 26 in total and not one complaint about anything at all only compliments. I would have no hesitation in recommending at all , again I would like to thank all the staff for making our stay enjoyable, keep up the good work.

Let me start by saying if we were here for more than one night and my husband wasn’t sick I’d have spent a lot more time at the front desk but this was towards the end of our travels and my husband didn’t want to be bothered. I will start with the pro’s. Good location with on site parking. After staying inside the city centers and dealing with parking garages it was a relief to park on site and grab our bags and go in. That’s the best things i can say about this place. Now the con’s. 1 - Extremely poor front desk staff that gave dismissive answers so i would go away. Barely looked away from their monitor as i was speaking. 2 - It was dirty. The large stairway’s were dirty, the room was dirty and I’m not talking just about the stained carpets. I mean they were in need of a vacuum. There was hair on the wall of the shower. I would have dismissed that if it were the only issue. 3 - moldy pipe in the corner of the room. The room should not even be in service. We were there during the week and hotel not full. I will try to attach pics. 4 - the putt putt course is a joke. Bumpy concrete.

Not quite the castle... Dromoland Castle is amazing. The Inn is a ten minute walk on the other side of the grounds. Food was excellent quality, some of best we had in our month in Ireland, though service was often slow in the pub. The kids play area is wonderful. Definite highlight... but... it would be nice if the supervised times aligned with the nextdoor castle. Wife and I wanted a meal at Earl of Thomand without kids... but couldnt, because times didnt match up. Something the Inn should consider revising. Still a great place overall.

Food is good the staff are nice and helpful ,although on arrival in our room we found our beds appeared to be made up but on closer inspection one of the beds had no top sheet and it had a urine stained mattress protecter on it . Very disappointed. The hotel is in a tired state overall and definitely not a 4 star. Disgusting
